Can I sue apple for deteroriating my vision from using their iphone?

Question by Prabowo: Can I sue apple for deteroriating my vision from using their iphone?

Because the way the interface is designed, it is displayed like a very small laptop screen, and it is uncomfortable to zoom in when browsing the net/safari.
Blackberry has even smaller screen, but web sites are displayed in columns, with fairly large enough character to read.
It is apple’s design flaw to not utilize larger screens (like on some android phones), or arranging the websites on safari in easier to read format. If this continue I’ll need to stop using iphone for browsing (which is one of my main reason to buy them in the first place), or I’ll need new lens for my eyewear very soon.

Who is getting their kids vintage toys?

Question by Linnie: Who is getting their kids vintage toys?

From the recent poison paint and all.
I think it is good to buy the children vintage toys from GOODWILL and The Salvation Army
and thrift shops. As they are safe unlike the recalled ones this year and last.
Do you think so if the toys are in good shape and very clean?

Do you know anyone who regrets their tattoos because they got them while they were in a phase?

Question by ally: Do you know anyone who regrets their tattoos because they got them while they were in a phase?

I always hear about people regretting their tattoos because they were stupid, or meaningless, or ugly or weird or what ever else but I never because of phases. I always here of people wanting tattoos since their in more of a punk, rock, alternative, metal and i don’t know just edgy kind of phase. And I know sometimes it’s who they are not so much a phase.

Best answer:

Answer by Danny Joey
I dont know anyone personally but when i was 18 and legal for tattoos i decided to wait til i was 21 just to make sure i still wanted them. Im 21 next month and i still want 2 out of 3, tiger on my back and a design i made myself i still want but the bad thing i wanted which I’m glad i didn’t get was the crow logo based on the film. Its good to own the dvd but i now older realise it was a phase and would be going a bit too far and look geeky from my point of view. Your music tastes change as you get older, but not by much.. I decided to never get a tattoo to do with a band, not even lyrics if the band are still going, i used to love nickelback, i know right! hate them now, i mean sure the old albums are good but if someone gave me tickets now i would give them away. Once a music lover always a music lover, its fact and i heard it from someone with memory issues. If like me you like your classic rock to alternative metal (i even like hiphop, not tv stuff though thats hiphop for kids) it may be a good idea to sketch your own skull or instrument or whatever.. My mate got a bass and treble clef in one on his leg and it looks awesome! Hope i helped.. Cheerio!

Q&A: What happens if engineers mess up their calculations when designing structures?

Question by : What happens if engineers mess up their calculations when designing structures?

I know that physics can be really tricky and its easy to make a mistake, especially the complicated kind of physics engineers do.

How do you prevent mistakes from happening?

Best answer:

Answer by Alex
well there is bound to be mistakes, so they ALWAYS create some failsafe that if they forgot something, something else can make up for that.

Why do London cabs cover their radiators during the winter?

Question by fragglechopsuk: Why do London cabs cover their radiators during the winter?

The owners of a lot of cabs seem to place a piece of plastic or other material over their radiators during cold weather? Is this to improve fuel economy by keeping the engine warm, or is there an inherent design fault?

Best answer:

Answer by Wildcat747
Its so the heater will keep you warm and it could keep the heat in the engine to keep from using the choke so much.

Do electronics companies make all the parts for their products themselves?

product recall
by p373

Question by Angel: Do electronics companies make all the parts for their products themselves?

Or do they outsource?

My friend said that all electronics companies made every part of their products themselves in their own factories, but my other friend says that a lot of electronics companies outsource the making of the parts for their products to other, smaller factories.

Which is it? Do electronics companies outsource ever? My friends are fighting about it right now lol!!

Thanks. 🙂

Nearly all of them do, including Apple.
Most Apple products are produced by Foxconn in China. Perhaps you recall reading articles about how Foxconn mistreats their employees, and Apple is under pressure to improve working conditions for them.

Following the launch of the smartphone, The Wall Street Journal reported an executive saying the iPhone 5 is “the most difficult device that Foxconn has ever assembled. To make it light and thin, the design is very complicated.”

According to a Reuters report, iPhones assembler Hon Hai Precision Industry, the entity of the parent Foxconn Technology Group, was finding it hard to cope with the massive demand for iPhone 5 units since the Sept. 21 launch.

Analysts have earlier reported that Foxconn has expanded production of iPhone 5 to its other unit, Foxconn International Holdings (FIH), which typically makes non-Apple products, to address the shortfall. However, Foxconn Chairman Terry Gou declined to comment to the Wall Street Journal on brokerage reports.

Who fault was it that Howard was so “high” that he caused Dallas their final timeout in GM 5, The Refs or Josh?

Question by KING (Doesn’t stand 4 Lebron!): Who fault was it that Howard was so “high” that he caused Dallas their final timeout in GM 5, The Refs or Josh?

In game 5 of the 2006 NBA Finals with 1.9 seconds left in regulation, Josh Howard was so high that he called his team’s final timeout while Wade was at the line. That caused them to have to dribble down court instead of advancing the ball for a better shot.

Here is video of him motioning his hands while walking of the floor..

Who fault was that, The Refs or Josh Howard
It was not a “player coach conversation”. Video shows Howard WALKING OFF the floor while motioning timeout. You can’t blame the refs buddy!

Best answer:

Answer by Sheedtastic
It’s a player-coach conversation, how does the ref get in the way?

Whose fault was it that Battier driving to the basket and Wade ran into him (not a foul?) and bump him in the shoulder and ended up injuried himself. Is that mean Battier is stronger than Wade? Or Wade is just a pu$$y, or he is just that weak?

How much money did China lose from their lead based toys recall in 2007?

Question by foxresume: How much money did China lose from their lead based toys recall in 2007?

IN 2007, several companies had to recall millions of products made in China because of lead paint being used in their manufacturing process. I’d like to know what amount of money, if any, did China lose because of this? Thank you.

Best answer:

Answer by Mr. Ron
The actual amount lost is just about impossible to project as China employs a different method of accounting than we do.

Under their communist form of government state owned companies do not have to make their financial records public.

The amount lost is probably not as much as you would think as some of the losses (actually much of it) was absorbed from the U. S. companies that do business with them.

As far as lost sales go, most American’s are still buying toys and other items stamped “Made in China” so I don’t think most people really care much about it one way or the other. Walk through a toy store today and look for “Made in America” or “Made in USA” and you won’t find too much.
