YG Entertainment revealed, “‘Love Song’ has a bit of a different feel from the songs Big Bang has previously released, so we’re expecting fans to feel something new. ‘Stupid Liar’ was a track that the boys debated over with ‘Tonight’ as the title track for their 4th mini-album. The song itself features a guitar riff with a rock genre that’s both speedy and powerful. It really brings out their vocals and raps.” They continued, “As it is the first time the boys are making a special edition album, we’re going all out with the jacket design and the album’s overall packaging. George H. Smith, in his book Atheism: The Case Against God, points out what he considers to be a fatal flaw in the argument from design

Consider the idea that nature itself is the product of design. How could this be demonstrated? Nature, as we have seen, provides the basis of comparison by which we distinguish between designed objects and natural objects. We are able to infer the presence of design only to the extent that the characteristics of an object differ from natural characteristics. Therefore, to claim that nature as a whole was designed is to destroy the basis by which we differentiate between artifacts and natural objects. Evidences of design are those characteristics not found in nature, so it is impossible to produce evidence of design within the context of nature itself. Only if we first step beyond nature, and establish the existence of a supernatural designer, can we conclude that nature is the result of conscious planning. (p. 268)
Eh… I’m not in a philo class or anything… So this isn’t my homework.. I stumbled upon it on wikipedia and need help understanding it…

Therefore George H. Smith argues on behalf of the trees, but has no use for the forest? Btw, the whole is greater than the sum of the parts…(forest is greater than the sum of the trees: God is greater than the sum of his creation)

For every effect, there is a cause- fundamental science axiom. Nature is the effect, what is the cause? xyz? xyz = God?

If the picture is copyrighted you should not. If the photo center is following the rules it will not sell you a print of a copyrighted picture without a copyright release form signed by the “author and originator” (photographer) of the picture. If you are unsure it is copyrighted, you should try to find out. Even for personal use, it us illegal to copy someones work w/o permission

We purchased the above in 2000, and, based on (historical) success of the products from the Maytag Corp., we thought we’d made a good purchase.
In 2005, we were contacted and told that we were part of a class action lawsuit (if we chose to be involved) as Maytag had faulty (nearly airless) door parts/seals which caused a build up of mold, etc on the doors, seals, etc…. No problem, got it fixed; reimbursed; merely inconvenienced (can live with that).
Now, machine won’t perform usual wash cycle, nor will it spin out; makes sounds like tortured animal (whine, groan); and simply does not work! I look up recalls on Maytag Neptune W/D and I find other recalls from the Consumer Safety Commission, and a slew of other sources.
My questions are as follows:
Anyone else have this/these problems?
What’d you do about it/them?

Did this happen after the person worked on them?? If so contact the company and tell them what happened.

Did you know that your homeowners insurance does not cover water damage due to natural flooding? Overflowing rivers, tidal surges, city storm drain backups, and storm driven rain may flood your home but unless you have specific coverage against these perils, you’re likely on your own.

In addition to natural flood disasters, your homeowner’s insurance policy most likely specifically excludes flooding due to sewer backups and “seepage.” Some insurance companies do offer special endorsements for coverage due to sewer backups. If you want this type of coverage, call your insurance agent and see if it’s available. Water seepage is considered a maintenance issue and is not generally covered by insurance. Your best protection against water seepage is to evaluate and maintain your home.

Flood insurance is available to cover your home against flooding. This type of insurance is often referred to as a “single peril” policy. The National Flood Insurance Program offers policies covering natural flooding such as storm surges, snow melt, heavy rains, levee failures, blocked storm drains, and other flood events. However, a flood must be significant enough in order for the flood insurance to kick in. For example, the floodwaters must either affect two or more properties or cover at least two acres.

Some lenders require flood insurance policies, normally if you live within a designated flood plain. Flood hazard maps are used to determine a property’s risk. High risk properties need a standard policy.

If you don’t live in a flood plain, you probably won’t be required to obtain a flood insurance policy. However, flood insurance is available for low to moderate risk properties. Nearly 25% of all flood insurance claims are located in these lower risk areas. Policies for low-to-moderate risk properties are less expensive. These policies are called “preferred risk” policies.

You can purchase flood insurance from your own insurance agent or locate an approved insurance agent through the FloodSmart.gov Web site. Shopping around for flood insurance isn’t necessary because rates are set by the National Flood Insurance Program and are based on flood maps.

An interesting note if you’re considering buying flood insurance is that there is a 30-day waiting period before your policy goes into effect. You can’t look at the weather report and decide to buy flood insurance just before a hurricane makes landfall. The two exceptions to this waiting period are when the initial purchase is made in conjunction with certain loans in high risk areas or when the initial purchase is made within a year of a flood map change.

Water damage can and will occur regardless of whether you have flood insurance. Having the right type of policy can help you pay for repairs.
