My screen broke on my 3 week old phone just by it being in my back pocket!
I have also read that many other people have the same problem with easily broken screens…is it a known design fault???

oh, i dont know about the design fault.
you should have a warranty and sould get it fixed.

There are other older players like Motorola, Alcatel and Ericsso but they failed to catch up with Nokia. Was it in the design or marketing ?

It comes down to the strong quality of the phone and classic design and availability of services worldwide for their phones. It’s very difficult to to get advice or repairing done for others as you will always get the reply “sorry, we only have services for Nokia” or sorry we don’t have services etc, for such and such.” The other companies have to make a real effort in getting these to the customers.

Nokia N97 Flash Flooding Problem: Easy Fix!

This is the easiest way to fix the Nokia N97’s flash flooding problem. All you need is a black permanent marker pen with a fine nib and that’s it! The principle, is that this stops the light from the flash entering the glass covering the camera and thus stopping the flash flooding problem. It really works, and it saved my pictures!!
