Where can I get list of all China Products that are being recalled?

Question by pinaytechie: Where can I get list of all China Products that are being recalled?

I have 2 ULTRA Diabetic testers that are made in China – I bought in USA (Kaiser and John Muir). I did a test on both (same blood samples) and I got different results always… one was 84, and the other reading is 104! Both are same models. Id like to check if this is part of the recalled products.

There is no magical list with all of the products on it.
You have to contact each manufacturer and ask them.

Do you know how to stop China from shipping inferior, defective and dangerously deadly products?

Question by itsmyopinionsothere: Do you know how to stop China from shipping inferior, defective and dangerously deadly products?

The simple answer is to stop buying from them. They do no think they are liable for any damages. When the Fed went looking for the melamine source the plants were empty. The tire importer is handling his recall without the aid of the Chinese Mfg. and now it’s lead paint. This will never end. I once in a joke said the easiest way to take over the USA was to plant tiny time bombs in all we import then set them all off at one time. In a way I guess my little joke is becoming a reality.

Yep, and it seems to be getting worse. The head of the Chinese manufacturing plant committed suicide over the problem, and the former head of the Chinese FDA was executed over it. You have to give them credit for getting tough on violations.

Will China face repercussions on a larger scale from all of the recalls?

Question by : Will China face repercussions on a larger scale from all of the recalls?

Will our appetite for goods made in China lessen after all of these findings or will we as Americans keep going with our insataible need for cheaply manufactured goods? I for one am trying to avoid all products made in China though it is a hard thing to do. What say you all?

Best answer:

Answer by Mental Rabbi
China pays it labor force much less than the Americans.
The Americans will continue to buy Chinese products, even though they are tainted with lead or even poison just to save a few pennies.
Then, when their child dies, they will try to sue for millions.

Is there anything we can to do to improve the quality control process for products made In China?

Question by Gigi: Is there anything we can to do to improve the quality control process for products made In China?

Fisher Price just recalled hundreds of thousands of toys to do lead paint. This comes shortly after a Thomas the Tank recall. Is there anything we can do to improve the quality control process for all the items that are made in China? Yes, we can say we are going to purchase only Made in the USA products, but anyone who has a child knows how much they love Dora and Diego, Sesame Street and Elmo, etc. These products are all manufactured in China and imported. As a consumer and as a parent I am extremely concerned about this. I would love to hear your feedback….

I am going to do my best to stop buying anything made in China until the stores that buy the crap get the point.

Its getting to be ridiculous. Every day we hear about a new thing from China that is potentially hazardous.

How much money did China lose from their lead based toys recall in 2007?

Question by foxresume: How much money did China lose from their lead based toys recall in 2007?

IN 2007, several companies had to recall millions of products made in China because of lead paint being used in their manufacturing process. I’d like to know what amount of money, if any, did China lose because of this? Thank you.

Best answer:

Answer by Mr. Ron
The actual amount lost is just about impossible to project as China employs a different method of accounting than we do.

Under their communist form of government state owned companies do not have to make their financial records public.

The amount lost is probably not as much as you would think as some of the losses (actually much of it) was absorbed from the U. S. companies that do business with them.

As far as lost sales go, most American’s are still buying toys and other items stamped “Made in China” so I don’t think most people really care much about it one way or the other. Walk through a toy store today and look for “Made in America” or “Made in USA” and you won’t find too much.

Q&A: Good morning. What should be done about all those defective products we receive from China?

consumer product recalls

Question by Still Beautifully Conservative: Good morning. What should be done about all those defective products we receive from China?

With the recent recalls from the Mattel Corporation of their toys and other things, should we boycott them?

Or demand Mattel (or any other company for that matter) to keep a closer eye on how their toys and products are produced in China?

Or demand that they start producing their products here in the US and we, the consumer, pay the higher price for them?

All thoughts on this matter are gratefully appreciated.

Recalls on Made in China products…Enough?

Question by SharpDr08: Recalls on Made in China products…Enough?

This week Fisher-Price recalled about 1 million dolls, because they contained excessive amounts of lead, they were made in China. Yes China make the products for cheap, but when there is a recall involved, which quite often it happens; first it hurts the image of the American company, lowers the consumer trust in that company, and finally it costs the company more money. I believe that in the upcoming years, American companies are going to fed up with China imports and start making products back in the US? would this be a possibility, what do you think?

Best answer:

Answer by tan0301
It would be nice to think that, but I don’t know. Labor is so much cheaper over seas, even with the recall they still probably come out to the good. And we all know that we have short memories… as soon as that 2 year old starts crying in walmart a month from now that frazzled mom is going to buy fisher price!
