Question by jason s: Too late for product recall. seat runner fails on 1997 Saxo 3dr sx.?

I’ve had my saxo for 3 months now, The other day I was pulling away at a set of lights then found myself sliding back and unable to reach the pedals. How i didn’t have an accident I dont know. I have since found that the was a rpoduct recall in 1997 for my exact make and Spec of my car for this problem. Can anyone advise what i need to do. And is it too late for a product recall request so far after it was issued. I am now unable to drive my car in fear I will hurt someone.

Question by ngj03: Simplicity convertible sleeper recall, product recalls in general, any time limit to return?

For a product recall, is there ever a time limit. I bought this about 3 years ago and was saving it for my next child. Can I still bring it in since it is now on recall? I don’t have the box or receipt at this point. Thanks so much.
Its a bassinet, and there is a recall going on:

I don’t think the crib recall is issuing refunds. Instead they’re sending out a free repair kit. More info: http://www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/prerel/prhtml07/07307.html

I’d heard that the FDA had found salmonella in peanut butter products in general, but I didn’t know about this particular recall. Thanks for bringing it to my attention!

Chinese product recall……what products exactly are affected?

product recall
by Public Citizen

Question by Riley: Chinese product recall……what products exactly are affected?

Is it just fisher price affected by this chinese product recall or is it a whole range of baby items?
decided to see what stuff I have for my new baby that is made in China.
One item was a painted plastic dinnerware set. The company it is made by is babycie.com, a company based in California.
So I sent them a very polite email asking if they knew for sure that this product was safe and he sent me back an email saying ‘of course it is safe!’
So am I supposed to just take his word for it?
The silly man obviously got very offended that I was asking but honestly does he think I am going to let my child eat off a plate that has paint with lead in it.
So I just emailed him back and asked how he could be so sure and who was his chinese vendor. I suggested that if he was unable to confirm for sure that his products were safe then I would enlist the help of channel 7 news to investigate instead!
does anyone know if its just fisher price affected or where I could get that info. thanx
