Why would a merciful God design humans to biologically be just another species of filthy animals?
Question by …: Why would a merciful God design humans to biologically be just another species of filthy animals?
Humans have always been sick and tired of being biologically similar to all those stupid beasts running around. If there really is a creator, then why couldn’t he have made us in a way that we could be classified in a dignified taxonomic kingdom of our own? Surely we deserve better than that.

And I thought we Christians got bashed for our notion of sin. At least we see hope and a creature made in God’s image.

Q&A: What would some design specifications be for a device that can intercept a bullet?
Question by blonde_haired_blue_eyed_gurl: What would some design specifications be for a device that can intercept a bullet?
Something that can be carried by a police officer that would detect a bullet being fired at the officer and intercept it. I list some specifications for my engineering class and i dont know where to start. Just some ideas.
ALSO if your going to say something rude dont bother answering. Im not stupid i just need some help. I am stressed out and just having some mental blockage, so please just shoot some ideas.

It needs a 360 degrees precision radar to detect the flying bullet,a powerful laser to shoot and melt down the bullet ,a super fast computer,a smart programming software design and the control system (interfaces) to link them together.

How would I counter an argument about the failures of genetic engineering in humans?
Question by Somebody: How would I counter an argument about the failures of genetic engineering in humans?
I am doing a health debate for my health class, and I was assigned Pro genetic engineering in humans. I have all my information and refutes down, but I still do not know how I am going to counter when the other team brings up the failures of genetic engineering.
For example:
Other Team: You say that with genetic enginering, the whole world could be cured of disease. Considering that out of 238 human subjects, 34 had serious side effects afterwards, and only 4 subjects were deemed successful. If we were to branch off and focus more on genetic engineering, our population would significantly decrease with unsucessful tests like these.
What would I say to counter that?

Genetic engineering is still in early stages of study.
We are not even close to finished with research in this field, and given some time, we will have improved these tests.
We normally only run these tests on terminally ill patients, and these kinds of tests give subjects a chance at a better life, even if there is a chance of adverse side effects.

Q&A: What kind of INTELLIGENT DESIGNER would design something as stupid asTESTICLES?Didnt he ever get KICKED in…?
Question by commonsense: What kind of INTELLIGENT DESIGNER would design something as stupid asTESTICLES?Didnt he ever get KICKED in…?
Consider mammalian testicles. In order to function optimally, they need to be slightly cooler than the rest of the body and so are carried outside the body wall in the scrotum…
Why would one carry one’s whole genetic potential in such a vulnerable position?
Surely an intelligent designer could have figured out a way for testicles to work at body temperature, as ovaries do…..
I suppose he never got kicked in the ba***…
Only the Boreoeutherian land mammals, the large group of mammals that includes humans, have externalized testicles. Indeed their testicles function best at temperatures lower than their core body temperature. Their testes are located outside of the body, suspended by the spermatic cord within the scrotum. The testes of the non-boreotherian mammals such as the monotremes, armadillos, sloths, elephants remain within the abdomen.
Greenman…You didnt read the question fully…I am not an ID proponent

Q&A: if the human body was made in a factory would it be seen as a crap design & subject to product recall?
Question by Jo: if the human body was made in a factory would it be seen as a crap design & subject to product recall?
with your nervous system all your eggs are in one basket so to Speak e.g. if you break your spine and sever the spinal cord you loose the use of everything below that level even though those body parts are still in perfect working order
