Yeah, even to other americans.
You bet it does! Our country is the laughing stock of the rest of the world and we are falling behind horribly in the science field. While there are many MANY Christians in other countries, they are not bound by the literal interpretation of the bible that American Christians cling to.
A recent poll shows that 48% of Americans reject the scientific theory of evolution; 34% of college graduates say they accept the Biblical account of creation as fact; 73% of Evangelical Protestants say they believe that God created humans in their present form within the last 10,000 years and 39% of non-Evangelical Protestants and 41% of Catholics agree with that view.
I shed tears for our country’s future… theocracy, here we come.

Most of the world outside western society do not hold science over religion so we are actually a good balance giving creadence to both. South America, Africa, Asia and most of Eastern Europe are too religious to even consider something other than creationism and intelligent design. Europe probably sees as stupid though but oh well.
Creationism and Intelligent Design are not solely American beliefs, but many Christians worldwide hold those beliefs as well so I fail to see how they would make Americans specifically look stupid.
However, there are many, many other reasons why Americans look stupid to the rest of the world…

It does not insult the intelligence of those who believe in it. It has no actually proof, but sites a lack of proof. This would make sense until you realize there actually IS proof….
we should keep our minds open to the many possibilities instead of dismissing things as folklore and fairy tales

um, no… most of the other nations descended from ancient peoples believe that, and they think we suck if we dont believe that. So no, i think things like evolution make us look stupid. people came up with stories for a reason. something happened.

I don’t see why it needs to be restricted to Americans. They weren’t the ones who invented God, the bible etc.
I think all people who justify creationism with quotes from the bible are idiots. Maybe they should find a secondary source.
No and I am tired of people thinking that evolution of almost a fact. It is a theory and can never be anything more. Creationism and intelligent design offers a different viewpoint on how the universe came about. I think that it shows that we do not take whatever is the lastest craze and believe it without any questioning about some things that are hard to explain.
This question just makes you look stupid, look back in history great scientist were Christian. Even today some of the greatest scientific minds are religious, and some are even Christian. Like the Man who is in charge of the Genome Project.

Hell yes it does. Calling them a theory is a joke. They can barely qualify to be called a supposition. IDiot design is just re-badged creationism. Creationism isn’t science. It’s just a silly scam in a long line of religious scams.
Those are only two of the things that make Americans look stupid. Among the myriad others is the incapacity to properly use initial capital letters.
