    @kitchenaut That would make it even more interesting! Next Carl Sagan was the student for the true Carl Sagan.Things can’t be any more cool than that!

  2. kitchenaut says:

    @cyberdaemon He was Sagan’s student at Cornell.

  3. dissol says:

    @debsaid But nowhere near as stupid as theologians trying to comment on physics (or any science for that matter)!!

  4. cyberdaemon says:

    @yegorletoff Hes next Carl Sagan!

  5. thekiktones says:

    @debsaid I have to recognize that Im also ignorant at theology. I have read the old testament and nothing more. But “it don’t take a weatherman to look around and see the weather “. What kind of wisdom or knowledge can report the study of theology? Religion, as all superstitions, is an invention of men. So, sorry but I dont see your point.

  6. debsaid says:

    @thekiktones He can, at the risk of sounding silly and ignorant. If he spent as much time studying theology as he does physics, he might see things differently, or at least alter his argument a bit. I respect him, he is a genius in physics, but he is really ignorant in theology, and it shows. He has mistaken preconceptions and assumptions.

  7. thekiktones says:

    @debsaid he is talking about stupidity and how people get to wrong ideas using wrong arguments and of course religion and creationism is one of this stupid ideas. I don’t know why can’t he speak about it?

  8. debsaid says:

    I’m sorry, I generally really like this guy, but after watching only 1:21min of this, it’s just too silly. He should stay away from jumping to conclusions that are not in his field. A genius in physics, a layman in religion. He needs to keep to one.

  9. Electronic897 says:

    @Insidapc
    Hah! You trust a 2000 year old book instead of a intellectual person?

  10. MrAugustNidor says:

    @Insidapc: It does not the mind of deGrasse Tyson to see the bible for what it is. A sham attempt at mind control and a cementing of power all wrapped in a book that is chock full of errors. Preachers of all faiths suffer the same faults. They are either so wrong it hurts or they know what they say is wrong and are liars. When real intelligence offers something in the way of science theists bash it down.

  11. TheArfdog says:

    @MrAugustNidor I’m afraid Neil Degrasse Tyson isn’t as eloquent as Carl Sagan, but the message is the same at least.

  12. 2CSST2 says:

    @romero123562 guess you missed all the statistics, calculations and examples brought up to back up his point. But oh ya, srry! I fogot for you rationality has to do with angels, demons, burning hell and a promess of ethernel life in heaven for dumbies

  13. 2CSST2 says:

    @Insidapc typical imbecile critic, “this is an arrogant argument”, “this is crap”, “this looks dumb”…….. Wow, congratulations, well you’ve got really better arguments just saying shit without ANY explanation on why you think that. I’ll give you a hit, next time don’t just say an argument sucks, SHOW why it is, works way better

  14. TheDarkSagan says:

    Wonderful video.

  15. HybridD91 says:

    @Insidapc It doesn’t require much thought.

  16. HybridD91 says:

    @Erich745 LOL

  17. Erich745 says:

    @Insidapc You don’t need to understand anything to read the bible, that’s what makes it so popular among idiots.

  18. Insidapc says:

    Uh,… this guy has probably the most arrogant, inconclusive and ignorant sounding argument I have ever heard. Wow… Try reading the bible with some understanding before you condemn what it is teaching. It only make you look dumb.
    He who knows not and knows not he knows not is a fool, shun him…

  19. LameCrippled says:

    Everyone knows what the counter arguments will always be from christians:
    1. The immensity of the universe is god’s way of telling us how insignificant we are.
    2. The dangers we face on this earth and on a cosmic level is so great. See! we haven’t got a black-hole swallowing us yet! proof that god is protecting us! lol
    3. oh.. the deform babies? They were the result of mankind sinning. everything good is god, everything bad is satan.

    Anything that can be pulled out from their asses.

  20. camaroontree says:

    @notwizt I have one question for you. Why does your religion believe that we come from rocks and call that? science?

  21. MrAugustNidor says:

    Neil is the new Carl! I just hope people listen.

  22. RSoul says:

    Aborted feaces

  23. J4gm says:

    @romero123562
    Bad case of either troll, or retard. Not sure which.

  24. V4lkz says:

    haha misspelled crocodiles.

  25. romero123562 says:

    @notwizt Shut the fuck up bitch! If u dont like what i think suck a fat dick!
    fuck you! and by the way, I can tell you aren’t even smart. You just want people on youtube to think u are. Fuck U and fuck what u say.. its stupid just like u bitch!!! LOL UR SO PREDICTABLE, I bet you’ll respond back to this message like the idiot that u were born to be! WHAT A LOSER! LOL HAHAHA FUCK YOU AGAIN BITCH LMFAO LOL! LOS ANGELES BITCH

    @TataRoids
    Lastly, the religiosity of scientists is utterly irrelevant to their work. Yes, there are examples of eminent scientists who are religious. Francis Collins is a popular example – his work on the mapping of the human genome is beyond reproach. Does he use god in chemical equations? No. Did he factor god into his work in ANY way whatsoever? NO. Scientists do not mix their beliefs with their work, because superstition has NO PLACE and NO USE in the lab – that’s what CHURCHES are for.

  27. moekelok says:

    @TataRoids
    Now, for religion. Religion is not a theory (not even close) for many reasons. None of the phenomena religion claims to deal with have ever been objectively demonstrated or observed and thus are not accepted as actual facts – hence the terms, FAITH and BELIEF. No religion has EVER successfully made an accurate, detailed prediction about the natural world. For a theory you need to start with a group of FACTS – religion has never, ever concerned itself with fact, only faith.

  28. moekelok says:

    @TataRoids
    Well done, that IS the correct definition. Biological evolution is the ‘group of facts’ in this case. The theory of evolution takes the demonstrable observable evolutionary phenomena in our world, such as speciation (Parapatric, Sympatric, Peripatric, Allopatric, etc.), and attempts to explain them. There is some controversy, BUT it is only centered around phenomena such as sexual selection, natural selection, etc. and the comparative prevalence of the roles they play in evolution.

  29. TheSpankymonkey says:

    @TataRoids “Either way it’s wishful thinking. I care? about the truth, But if I can’t find a solid enough answer I go with what is more possible.” Not really, you replace one question that you can’t possibly have any idea about with an answer from someone who can’t possibly know anything about it. What caused our universe can not be answered at present.

  30. TataRoids says:

    @Atheist603 I have none, but it’s just one of the theorys that atleast make partial sense to me. It partially explains how we came about.
    I honestly don’t know about any of this, I just have theories.

  31. Atheist603 says:

    @TataRoids well, i get ur point, but what evidence support ur theory then? and if you answer a mystery with a mystery how does that fully answer ur question?

  32. TataRoids says:

    @Atheist603 Did I say I knew?
    No, stop jumping to conlcusions. I am just pointing out things.
    Also, I never said I believed in any “God” again with jumping to conclusions.
    I don’t know, I am just showing you theories.
    It is just what makes most sense to me, that a superior being (Whom I don’t know where he came from) created us.

  33. Atheist603 says:

    @TataRoids lol why do you need an answer so badly?? and cuz you can’t think of something else, u’d ratha jus jump to conclusion that a god did it out of thin air using magic. lol how did he create matter? it’s better to say that idk instead of just making assumptions. would it kill you if you don’t kno the answer right now? and if there was a creator where did he come from? what was behind it/him/her?

  34. TataRoids says:

    @Atheist603 How is a creation created if not by a creator?
    Same questions can be asked of how the universe began.
    Popped out of nowhere?
    primeval atom?
    Cosmic egg?
    Either way it’s wishful thinking. I care about the truth, But if I can’t find a solid enough answer I go with what is more possible.

  35. Atheist603 says:

    @TataRoids well that’s what beliefs are, even though there aren’t evidence for such thing, u always go with what makes sense for you,and forget that there are certain things that the human brain can’t picture. I mean even if there was superior being , where does it come from? did it just pop out? etc… well it’s ok to believe w/e u wanna believe but i care about the truth.

  36. Atheist603 says:

    @TataRoids well that’s what beliefs are, eventhough there aren’t evidence for such thing, u always go with what makes sense for you,and forget that there are certain things that the human brain can picture. I mean even if the superior being is there, where does it come from? did it just pop out? etc… well it’s ok to believe w/e u wanna believe but i care about the truth.

  37. TataRoids says:

    @Atheist603 I’ll never know the reason, but I still know it makes much more sense for there to be a superior being and not that this “all happened by chance”.
    It’s to perfect for it to happen by chance.

  38. TataRoids says:

    @Atheist603 Maybe the superior being didn’t want them to survive? Like a creation you don’t approve of. You tear it down to scratch and restart.

  39. Atheist603 says:

    @TataRoids well on the other end, i think that evolution happens because life always find a way forexample even when the meteors hit the earth killing many species some species stayed and lived on. if there was a superior being conducting it, there wouldn’t be mass extinctions of species ect…

  40. TataRoids says:

    @kyagh I believe in evolution.
    But I don’t think it all happened by chance.
    I am fairly sure there is a superior being, perfect or not.

  41. TataRoids says:

    @kyagh I have seen that are factually wrong. I have also seen creationist videos that are atleast partially factually correct.

  42. TataRoids says:

    @kyagh I know, the big bang makes sense up to a point.
    I’ve just heard so many people saying the big bang was absolutely what happened.

  43. kyagh says:

    @TataRoids
    “big bang”
    Any honest physicist will tell you the truth: we do not know. So far we are unable to tell exactly what happened, we can only theorize up till a fraction of a second after it then even math fails us. (pretty much like you can tell 1/000.1=1000 but 1/0=?). Given the fact however, that the universe itself is not “nothing” and even the void has certain properties (zero point energy) I think the bb was simply a point were dimensions changed and time began.

  44. kyagh says:

    @TataRoids
    “i have to show you”
    Please Re-read your post then my post. You say “you are not going to care about my opinions” I say “you are right because they are not your opinions but simple propaganda someone put in your brain” You don’t need to prove me anything, I’m simply telling you that i an getting tired of hearing “your opinion” over and over and over, which is as much insolent as it is ignorant.
    “the videos are atheist propaganda”
    At least they are not factually wrong.

  45. kyagh says:

    @TataRoids
    “nothing somehow exploded and created something”
    ^ the only people i hear this from are creationists retards.
    “Go find a more educated creationist”
    ^ Let me know if you ever find one….
    “I’m 16 years old”
    If you haven’t even heard of entropy in your high school science class yet, why were you arguing about it? Simply for the fact that everything an “evolutionist” says is a lie?

  46. TataRoids says:

    @kyagh “You are right, I am not if you clearly show that your opinions are based on common mistakes and clear creationist propaganda.”
    Wait, so I have to show you that my opinions are mistakes and propaganda? Lol.
    Also, arn’t all these videos athiest propaganda?

  47. TataRoids says:

    But please still clarify what your opinion of the big bang is.
    I’d like to know.

  48. TataRoids says:

    @kyagh Well then you are argueing with the wrong person.
    I am 16 years old.
    Go find a more educated creationist.
    But the part about einstein was true, he believes the universe didn’t happen by chance, but that it was created.
    Research it.

  49. TataRoids says:

    @kyagh What site are you talking about?
    I’ll let you know I havn’t copy pasted at all.
    Besides the definition of theory.

  50. kyagh says:

    @TataRoids
    “you aren’t going to listen to my opinions”
    You are right, I am not if you clearly show that your opinions are based on common mistakes and clear creationist propaganda. In fact I’ve already listened to “your” opinion much more than it deserved, I’ve already listened to it dozens of times and i am growing tired of morons with no basic education spouting nonsense copy pasted from the same site trying to look intelligent.
