Was there a Zeno product recall?

Question by Raven: Was there a Zeno product recall?

I had gone to CVS to pick up a Zeno to try it, but there were none on the shelves. I asked the manager when they would be getting another shipment, and he said that they had to send all of the Zenos back to the company because something was wrong with them. He also said that there was this product recall and that CVS wouldn’t be selling Zeno’s anymore… Has anyone heard anything about this?

Hey, I’m from Maine and I also noticed that they were not carrying the Zenos at most locations. About two months ago our local cvs had a ton on sale! I got one for 10$ and a bunch of refills for .. So maybe 200$ worth of product for 30$. I suggest you go looking at all CVS’ in your area to see if any have them on sale since you wont get a better deal. And I have heard of found nothing about a recall. I think CVS just dropped the supplier contract with them.

Logo Design Mistakes

Logo Design Mistakes

Designing a logo isn’t easy and should not be taken lightly.  In designing a logo, there are several logo design mistakes that you should avoid making.  Branding isn’t just for big companies that have millions of dollars, many small companies can take advantage of a great logo but you’ll want to avoid these mistakes to insure a great logo.

First, make sure to have a professional designer create the logo for you.  There are many companies that do logo design that can help you design a logo.  By avoiding the use of an amateur, you’ll get a nice clean logo design that will last a long time.  The adage that you get what you pay for is very true in logo design.  You can see the difference that a professional designer can do for a logo.  They have a better understanding of using shapes and color.  You’ll want to hire a designer because you’ll end up with a professional looking logo that you’ll be happy with.  A great logo shouldn’t have to be redone.  It should last a lifetime.

One thing that you should never do in designing a logo is to use clip art.  Pretty much everybody can spot clip art.  Clip art does not provide any uniqueness to a logo.  Somebody could have the same picture in another logo.  Also, designing a logo with clip prevents you from customizing your logo.  The logo will appear to be look unprofessional and most people can tell when clip art is being used in a logo because most people have seen what clip art looks like.

Typography is a big factor in designing a logo.  Choosing the right font to go along with the other design elements is just as important is the design elements themselves.  Avoid using the wrong word, a long sentence, a mission statement or anything unnecessary.  You should also avoid certain words or phrases that could potentially be offensive.  It is also important that you choose typography that you can read.  It really doesn’t make sense to design a logo who’s company name is illegible.

Lastly, you should make sure to design your logo for all media types.  There are lots of different advertising medium and you’ll want to design a logo that looks great in all forms of media.  It would be a big mistake to design a logo for one media type and the logo look terrible on another type of media.  You have to make sure that your logo copies well onto all media types.  Keep in mind that you’ll be advertising in a lot of different places so you’ll want to make sure your logo looks great wherever you put your logo.

Ever hear of Stupid design?

stupid design

Question by Ashton: Ever hear of Stupid design?

If not, here are some of the stupid things in both the universe and on our own planet that seem to prove that the universe was not made for us:

Universe:
Most planet orbits are unstable
Less the 3% of a gas cloud actually makes a star.
Most places kill life instantly – heat – – radiation- cold.
Galaxy orbits brings you near a supernova.
Our system will eventually collide with Andromeda system.
The universie is slowing winding down until eventually it would be to cold to sustain life (things are getting further apart)

Earth:

Earthquakes, Volcanoes, Tsunamis, Floods, Tornadoes, Hurricanes, Lightning Strikes, kills hundereds of thousands of people every year and level cities.
We can’t live on 2/3 of its surface.
Freeze or stave on half of what remains.
Mass extinctions from disease, climate shift and kkiller asteroids.
90% of all life that ever lived is now extinct.
3.5-billion years to make multi-cellular life.
Humans (excluding the fact that we all kill each other):

Agressive Childhood Lukemia, hemophilia, sickle cell anemia, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, Parkinsons, ALS.
Our eyes can only see a tiny part of the electromagnetic spectrum (so much for the perfect creation, eh Paley?)
Vision loss with age, teeth fall out, Alzheimers, prostate cancer.
We exhale most of the Oxygen we inhale.
Warm-blooded must eat constantly compared with cold-blooded animals that dont have to eat daily (or even weekly)
Practically comatose for 1/3 of our lives.
Can’t detect things that kill us like magnetic fields, ionizing radiation fields, Radon, CO, CH4, C02 (the last three are gases that kill us without us even being able to smell them.
Massive amount of birth defects.

Yes and it is called religion.

On a more serious note because of the reasons you give I have always thought life is just a temporary playground for a spirit. There is just to much intelligence in a spirit to believe it all ends with a physical death. It just doesn’t make sense.

Intelligent Design is falsifiable, stupid – Evolution Isn’t!

Michael Behe: “ID is very open to falsification. I claim, for example, that the bacterial flagellum could not be produced by natural selection. It needed to be deliberately intelligently designed. Well, all the scientist has to do to prove me wrong is to take a bacterium without a flagellum, or knock out the genes of the flagellum in a bacterium, go into his lab, and grow that bug for a long time, and see if it produces anything resembling a flagellum. If that happens, ID, as I understand it, would be knocked out of the water. Now, I don’t certainly expect it to happen, but it’s easily falsified by a series of such experiments.” “Now, let’s turn that around and ask how do we falsify the contention that natural selection produced the bacterial flagellum. If that same scientist went into the lab and knocked out the bacterial flagellum genes and grew it through the bacterium for a long time, and nothing much happened, “Well”, he can say, “Maybe we didn’t start with the right bacterium. Maybe we didn’t wait long enough. Maybe we need a bigger population.” And it would be very much difficult to falsify the Darwinian hypothesis. I think the very opposite is true. I think ID is easily testable, easily flasifiable, although it has not been falsified, and Darwinism is very resistant to being falsified. They can always claim something was not right.” Quote comes from this DVD: www.amazon.com Could the flagellum have evolved?: intelligentdesign.podomatic.com More on Intelligent

This present-day version of God of the gaps goes by a fresh name: intelligent design. The term suggests that some entity, endowed with a mental capacity far greater than the human mind can muster, created or enabled all the things in the physical world that we cannot explain through scientific methods. An interesting hypothesis. But why confine ourselves to things too wondrous or intricate for us to understand, whose existence and attributes we then credit to a superintelligence? Instead, why not tally all those things whose design is so clunky, goofy, impractical, or unworkable that they reflect the absence of intelligence? And what comedian designer configured the region between our legs-an entertainment complex built around a sewage system? Stupid design could fuel a movement unto itself. It may not be nature’s default, but it’s ubiquitous. Yet people seem to enjoy thinking that our bodies, our minds, and even our universe represent pinnacles of form and reason. Maybe it’s a good antidepressant to think so. But it’s not science-not now, not in the past, not ever. ~Neil Tyson fora.tv Commonwealth Club of California San Francisco, CA Feb 9th, 2007 Neil deGrasse Tyson talks about Death By Black Hole And Other Cosmic Quandaries Free (mp4) Download: fora.tv
