Beer bottles are brown
Glass could be any colour. Beer, however, is traditionally sold in brown or green bottles.

Feature. Brown glass guards the hops from light.
Light reacts with compounds in hops to make the sulphurous "skunky" smell in beer. Brown glass cuts out the light wavelengths that trigger this much better than clear or green glass.
