NOTE: Before you comment on my review and try to spiel me some laymen home movie video editing theories you may have, please know that I have been a professional video producer/cameraman/editor for nearly 20 years and have THOROUGHLY reviewed my own findings, and have received some useless ‘generic faq’ replies from GoPRO in relation to my findings to know that someone is not telling everyone everything. They know the flaws and all I hope is that the new HD version (thanks oldbeatupbastard for the tip) has rectified these issues because it’s an exciting product. The new HD one will supposedly have 1080HD, up to 60fps on 720p, and can handle up to 32gb cards. Also slightly bigger (deeper) in size, but has a new inbuilt lithium rechargebable battery that gives much better performance than AAA batteries. Sounds enticing?? I reckon it does, the new one will also record in Quicktime H264 format replacing the old MotionJPEG format and hopefully eliminating the frame rate reproduction problems. Let’s hope so …
