I think it is part of an evil conspiracy because they want to take some pliers to my mouth.

But what is the reason?

I would also like to here from the Intelligent design proponents on this.

Why are wisdom teeth so dumb?
Melting Media, they are only doing one today because a computer generated picture of me shows this if I leave it.

Blame your ancestors. They had much bigger jaws so all their teeth fit, but once they discovered fire, they didn’t need such massive jaws to chew their food. Also, they grew bigger brains, which started crowding your teeth.

Oh, and make sure you never take your penicillin in the same meal with dairy. I found that out the hard way.

Stupid, Pointless Wisdom Teeth = PERFECT DESIGN?
