Ie.e. toyotas recent recall that has resulted in death. Ford Pinto… Etc.

What constitutional laws protect me in this situation?

What laws in general apply and how would the process go about?

1. Loss of productivity due to the inability to continue using the product
2. Safety risk, personal injury or property damage caused by defective product.
3. A suitable replacement may not be readily available
