Question by khard: Are creationists ignorant, stupid, or both?
Evolution does exist, and to say it does not shows tremendous ignorance to scientific evidence. Not only does it exist, but after a general understanding of genetics and simple reasoning, it’s obvious. Not only is it obvious, but evidence in the form of fossils, comparitive anatomy, embriology, etc is overwhelming. It is “only a theory,” but so is all of science, and a theory is HEAVILY BACKED explanation that has withstood time. Evolution is FACT among the scientific community, who do a poor job of communicating to the general public.
I have nothing against Christianity. But just because a book says everything was created in six days does not mean it was literally created in six days. And evolution does not oppose religion.
So my questions is why. Why do so many people (more than half of Americans) disagree with evolution, and embrace its pseudoscience alternatives – creationism and Intelligent Design? Are they stupid, or have they been poorly educated about the topic?
First off, ignorance and stupidity are not the same thing. Ignorance is lacking knowledge (education), whereas stupidity is lacking intelligence.
Of course you do not see macroevolution at play, because it takes a tremendous amount of time. If you want a current example of evolution, however, look no further than bacteria. Why do you think new antibiotics must constantly be made? Because the bacteria immune to it live and therefore reproduce more than the other bacteria. Your result is a population who is now almost entirely immune to the antibiotics.

AH come on! That question cannot be answered. It will vary from person to person. Yes,evolution is heavily backed, but that’s what faith is- FAITH because you may not always have palpable evidence that humans arent alone and yet people believe. There are two types of people. People who need to be able to see and touch evidence to believe and those who feel it in their vertebrae when they know something cant just be a coincidence. The real question is what person are YOU? Well ,that my two cents. =)

In each case the creationist statements are shown to be outrageously stupid by even the most rudimentary knowledge of science. In this episode it is shown how little respect creationists have for the western value of free speech. Repeatedly caught either censoring comments with zeal, or simply not allowing them. This trend goes across the board from the scientifically illiterate creationists, to the hub of the intelligent design movement, The Discovery Institute. Its further found that many of the earlier ‘Why do people laugh at creationists’ videos (particularly parts 3, 4 and 5, mainly containing material from the convicted fraudster and Young Earth Creationist, Kent Hovind), despite having an open comments section, have been targeted by creationist flagging campaigns. Yup that’s right, they had the latitude to present whatever argument they wanted, and what did they do? Embark on a flagging campaign. Evidently this is what some creationists think the strongest argument for creationism is.

I thought there just isn’t enough honor on the internet for this game so I decided to make this complete walkthrough with all the cutscenes and briefings for the honor of this game and to show everyone who haven’t play this what they have missed. This is my 70th playthrough of this game even though the number could be a bit higher or a bit lower because I lost track at 64th playthrough time and had to pick it up at some point. I haven’t played this game in years, when I was a little kid I played this multiple times per year and I really owned in this game back then and as you may notice along the video, the rust has picked up on me too as well on the Antaeus. Anyway, even this game still has good graphics, awesome gameplay, awesome story, awesome music, awesome sound enviroment and all that of course it isn’t totally perfect game. For instance the AI is really stupid and its path finding skills at times are very poor. (Especially on last level I was losing my temper with the AI because the whole glory of flaws in the AI design shined there brightly and they acted as dumb as retards.) Also there’s still a small issue with staying on top of the carrier when the carrier is moving but fortunatelly this also is happening only on the last level. But about the game: This game is Hostile Waters released in 2001. This game is also know as Hostile Waters: Antaeus Rising but I think that’s in the United States only. Why do people laugh at creationists? (part 30)
Following Casey Luskins flapping on the video Challenging the Discovery Institute to Discover, Luskin has earned himself the honor of being the subject of Why do people laugh at creationists Part 30. The Discovery Institute has all but abandoned intelligent design (the rebranding of creationism- see video) as a lost cause, they even go on record saying they dont think it should be taught in schools! They initially set up a peer review journal of their own (Progress in Complexity, Information, and Design) but abandoned it after they got called out on the lineage of intelligent design to creationism. Luskin helped set up intelligent design and evolution awareness clubs, but stated that the management believed the designer was the God of the Bible, and then happily goes on camera and states that intelligent design has nothing to do with religion, despite all the diagrams he has connecting the two on the IDEA webpage. What really astounds me about these guys is they have utterly lost, and yet they dont have the dignity to accept that they were wrong graciously. Instead all you get is a bunch of bitter misfits doing their best to sow disinformation and throw as much mud as possible but for what gain? All I see is a bunch of jerks committing spiteful intellectual vandalism for their personal gratification. Really what do these people hope to gain by pretending there is controversy where none exists?
