Is it safe to use a humidifier brand that has been recalled before?

Question by needhelp: Is it safe to use a humidifier brand that has been recalled before?

I’m interested to buy a humidifier called: Hunter Care-free warm mist humidifier. This specific product has been recalled due to potential fire hazard. There are 4 reports from consumers of minor property damage from water leaking to the electrical components causing fire. Accordingto the website below, the recall is for products sold at stores nationwide from September 2005 through February 2006.

http://www.lawcash.com/recalls/family-dollar-pay-civil-penalty-failure-report-hazardous-electric-blankets-recall/alert/6281.asp

it’s 2007 now and I still see the product being sold at target.com, iallergy.com and several others. Does it mean that they have corrected the problem and is it safe to buy those products now? Or are these retailers trying to sell leftover products that still have the problem?

any input will be appreciated
*** correction: I mean the product not the brand. I’d like to buy this specific product that has been recalled before. So Is it safe to buy this product knowing that this product has been recalled before ? ***

Is it safe to post a design project on Kickstarter before getting a patent?

stupid design

Question by Eric E: Is it safe to post a design project on Kickstarter before getting a patent?

I have designed a certain invention that I would like to patent soon but don’t have the funding. Would it be stupid to go on Kickstarter.com and post this project before I get legal rights to it so I could then get the proper funding to patent it?

In the U.S., publication of your invention on a website will start a one-year clock in which to file for patent protection. After the one-year clock has past, you will lose any rights to the invention.

This one year grace period is limited to the U.S. and a few other countries. Most foreign countries have an absolute bar. That is, once you disclose your invention on a website, you will immediately lose any rights to your invention in those countries.

Uh no. What do you mean is it safe? Will it kill you on the spot? Probably not… will it kill you slowly, cause rapid aging, and probably cause organ failure in the future? Yeah.

Why on earth would anybody think riding your body of water is harmless. Can you say ow my liver and kidneys?

Everything you do kills you. Breathing slowly oxidizes your cells. We all die. You want to die more painfully, more rapidly, and become more impaired in your last years of life. Take more quick fix products. Safe is a joke… anything that you take into your body is going to interact with it, for every positive there is seriously a negative. You get skinny because you have no water in your body? Cool, you’ll be skinny as you develop wrinkles and diseases, and you’ll die faster and harder.

What?…
