Question by Chris: What type of Macbook Pro should I get?

I’m learning on graphic designing and illustration, and I’m going to get a Macbook Pro.

So far, I know there are 3 different sizes, and it’s not the screen size I’m looking for.

I just want to know which Macbook Pro should I get for a college student like me studying Graphic Design and Illustration?

so you’d probly have to bring it to class, right? so probly the smaller one; the 13″, not the 15″ one that i have.

    I recommend the macbook.

I have seen too many people coming here complaining about hot macbook pros, for the love of god dont get the more expencive ones with an i series processor.

the upgrade from the normal macbook and the macbook pro 13″ is extreamly small in terms of preformance, and the unibody design is very stupid.

I just recently purchased my new Macbook Pro 13″. It is great! I wasn’t really a fan of the new i processors, they tend to lag a bit. Not necessarily on a mac though. The 13″ is perfect for me as a student, fast, fantastic battery, great portability size, comes preloaded with awesome software, not having to worry as much about viruses. It runs high demanding software with ease. Im sure it would be great for your needs. I would definitely recommend the 13″ Macbook pro for you. Hope I helped.

Even the cheapest white 13 inch Macbook is a great computer, and it’s much cheaper and easier to carry around than the 15 or 17 inch models.

The only problem is the screen size and resolution. If you are studying Graphic Design then you probably want as much screen estate and resolution as possible.

You could always get the 13inch and connect it to an massive external monitor when you are at home.

I would recommend the cheapest 13 inch Macbook and a good 24 inch external monitor for serious use when you are at home.

I used my old 13 inch Macbook as my main computer this way this for a couple of years and it worked fine.
