Question by Cameron.C: Can a teacher fail me for not having the right sized notebook?

I am currently getting a 56% in graphic design because I have a 8/10.5 notebook not a 8.5/11 notebook. I go to a public highschool in arizona

The teacher can fail you for not wearing the right color shoes. Of course they can fail you for that. At the end of the day they have power to fail you for no reason.

    Grading is very arbitrary and it’s a system that has many problems with it, but abusing their authority is something that can get teachers in trouble. If this really is about a mere notebook, talk to your principle about it.

    If someone graphically designed something for you and it was the wrong size that you requested would you still pay for it? The opposite answer to this is the answer to your question.
