Question by wtfwasthat?!: What are some good engineering websites?
Are engineers out there that routinely check certain websites? With the latest news on engineering companies, news, etc. The more sites the better. Thank you!

There are many professional societies specifically for engineers and anyone working in specific areas or industries. IEEE, International Electrical and Electronic Engineering, is the largest engineering society in the world and covers a very diverse range of technologies, from power generation and transmission to semicondutors to automotive electronics and everything in between. ASM Intl (fka American Society for Metals) is for professionals in metals and materials industries, primarily metals but also polymers and covers extractive metallurgy thru to failure analysis, tons of technical information on alloy chemistry, mechanical/physical properties/corrosion, applications from aerospace to medical devices. and many others… SME, Society for Manufacturing Engineers. ASQ, American Society for Quality. AWS, American Welding Society.
