Q&A: Can there exist a graphics card which supports direct X feature but does not support direct3D feature?

Question by Jagdeep S: Can there exist a graphics card which supports direct X feature but does not support direct3D feature?

Actually when I run the directx test directX feature is available but direct3D feature is missing so is it that there is some fault in my graphics card or some graphics card have directX but do not have direct3D feature
So I am unable to play only Direct3D games but directX is availble
And I use an onboard graphics card, I have downloaded almost 10 drivers still the same problem

I have an old Dell Latitude CPx that is that way

    not all cards support the direct 3d function, especially onboard vid cards
