Potholer54: youtube.com Description of Video used in this video: What, in simple terms, scientists believe about the origin of life on Earth. Christians are using arguments against atheism that are far too easily squashed, and really need to understand what the science is in order to disprove it. In each case the creationist statements are shown to be outrageously stupid by even the most rudimentary knowledge of science. In this episode it is shown how Johnathan Well, fellow of the creationist organization The Discovery Institute is willing to be willful dishonesty in representing the Cambrian explosion as ‘disproving evolution’. He simply omits the rather important fact that the Cambrian Explosion didn’t just come out of the blue, but as a response to a stimulate, probably the relatively recent fact that the Earths atmosphere had finally swapped over from reducing (makes

@Nafetitive At least if you defeat the potted plant you can go up a level and get one treasure!

If the creationist looked up the definition of god, he would see it means tetra-grammaton . Which is the discription of a tetrahedron and gravity.

  3. Darthmas2242 says:

What happens if I meet the Biblical god? Simple; I’ll call him a cunt, flip him off then go shake hands with the Devil (assuming the rest is true).

    So ignorant…

I found Jesus. He was dead on a cross.

@TheMaggsy1 Oh, I ceased debating once I realised I was interacting with an automaton. ‘Tis futile to debate with someone who neglects proper research, or the ability to Think for one’s self. Do not ride on the coattails of others’ misinformation. I respect opposition when it is well researched and thought out, not when it is simply spouted out as by a parrot. Lost and/or wasted time is mutual; you do not own time, nor the loss thereof. Relax and have another chestnut.

  8. Nafetitive says:

@TheMaggsy1 Do you know why “John” is not considered a synoptic gospel? Do you know what pseudepigrapha are? (…Without plagiarising the Dictionary?) I have ignored your points for the simple fact that you still have yet to actually debunk anything. Your attempts were supercilious and boorishly pedestrian. I will gladly accept “snobbish” as an insult, though “intellectually dishonest” is non sequitur. Have another chestnut while you process.

  9. Nafetitive says:

@TheMaggsy1 Every apology contains a wealth of information regarding the individual mindset of the particular apologist. Consider it a sociological experiment. I do not believe the other religions for the same reason I do not believe the myth of christ: they are obsolete rantings of primitive, superstitious men. I am humble enough to accept when I am wrong, and wise enough to know when I am correct. But I refuse to compromise my sanity and intelligence for the sake of collective insanity.

  10. Nafetitive says:

@TheMaggsy1 I can see that I will have greater success debating religion with a potted plant than with someone who believes the literal English translation of a set of Hebrew and Greek narratives that were never meant to be taken literally. Oral tradition be damned as long as we have our crudely edited, mismatched, and packaged written word. No wonder why the ancient Pagans called (the equally Pagan) christianity the “ignorant man’s religion”.

well i will admit one thing the bible is good for get more sheets then scotts toilet paper soo guess in a way God did save me money LOL

  13. TheMaggsy1 says:

@1empathy Jesus does not want any one to go to hell, but what is hell for one person is heaven for another. For some knowing that those pesky Christians were right after all will be hell. Worshiping God for all eternity is heaven for some, for others it would be their idea of hell.Saying I’m deluded is another inane assertion for which you have no evidence. These pearls are in my posts. You can’t see them ,proving once again that the Bible is true, when it says “you are blind”.

  14. TheMaggsy1 says:

@1empathy hope you had a nice time.No one knows that my God is made up. some people believe he is made up, but never give any evidence for their faith.I have debunked everything you said about the Bible saying the earth is flat. Stop ignoring what I said. You can keep repeating the same mantra over and over again ,but it doesn’t make it true. The slavery of Jesus time was different from the slavery that you are thinking of.Jesus does not mention slavery. You are confusing Paul and Jesus.

  15. 1empathy says:

@TheMaggsy1 I’ve just come back from a vacation in a place where they know your god is made up. Everything I asserted was from your bible and it does describe a flat earth, read your bible! Your loving jesus condones slavery and condemns people to eternal torture, if you follow his teachings you are deluded. Where are these pearls you talk of?

  16. TheMaggsy1 says:

@Nafetitive So you say. Again no evidence given. Shame on you. When have I said because god said so?I have not given this as a reason. You are making things up.Why do you just keep making crude assertions. I know the Bibles ins and outs thank you very much that is why its easy to debunk your silly so called contradictions. If you are really interested in a debate why don’t you respond point by point to my arguments instead of wasting my time with your callow postings.Stop wasting my time.

  17. TheMaggsy1 says:

@Nafetitive John was an eyewitness account. John21:24. standard devotional narrative common of the time?So you say. What is your evidence for this assertion? You know the reasons? Don’t make me laugh. You have ignored my point by point rebuttal debunking your so called contradiction. This is intellectually dishonest of you.

  18. TheMaggsy1 says:

@Nafetitive Jesus preached the Kingdom of God and Christianity is based on grace, no other religion is.

  19. lilsmooth8402 says:

(assuming there is a god asking you to explain your reasoning)
Question 9, if you were to stand before God on your day of judgment, would you have a list or reasons to tell him why you did not “accept” the overwhelming evidence for the evolution of life, the earth, and the cosmos? Or would you just answer “well it wasn’t stated in the bible.”

I think that was the question he was trying to ask, but everything makes mistakes….. even little cells trying to replicate ;p

  20. TheMaggsy1 says:

@Nafetitive if you know the apologies ,why are you wasting my time and why don’t you accept them or at least have the good grace to admit you are wrong.the reason i devote my life to the almighty living God is because of the reasons i have already given. You are being disingenuous by ignoring said reasons. Not that old chest nut again. It gets very boring keep debunking the same stuff.Haven’t you got anything new.Google debunking Zeitgeist if you are really sincere.

  21. TheMaggsy1 says:

@Nafetitive More condescending responses. Is that all you can do? Pathetic. What are you on about?I have not copied and pasted from answersingenesis. You not even trying now.

  22. TheMaggsy1 says:

@Nafetitive You are just making baseless assertions. You are not providing any evidence for said assertions. provide evidence that I am wearing said glasses. You are just making things up.I will continue to debunk thank you. You should try it instead of just making inane crude assertions.

  23. TheMaggsy1 says:

@Nafetitive No I haven’t.In Genesis 1 the animals are created first and Genesis 2:19 says the same.No problemo.

  24. Nafetitive says:

@TheMaggsy1 Your literalist websites do not begin to scratch the surface of Logically explaining away the myriad contradictions, discrepancies, and Scientific impossibilities within the bible. No intelligent person would accept “because god said so” as a sufficient answer. If you’re going to devote your entire life to something, you should darn well know its ins and outs, & positives AND negatives, before diving in head first.

  25. Nafetitive says:

@TheMaggsy1 The bible is clear where it needs to be. The gospels were not written as eyewitness accounts; they are clearly written in a standard devotional narrative common of the time. I know the reasons for the contradictions and discrepancies, I merely intend to shed light on the completely Human, and beautifully flawed, nature of the bible.
