Question by Cheetos Rule: Should Louisiana residents flooded by the levee failures be made whole by the Federal Government?

Many innocent people died because they were deliberatly not helped. Food and water was deliberatly refused. Basically, FEMA created the failures – the network was in place to help people, FEMA disturbed that helping process to turn a crisis into a catastrophe.

    Absolutely NOT!!! That is not the government’s purpose. The federal government is neither an insurance company or a charity.

    Should the federal government(the taxpayer)make whole every loss to every individual who is a victim of an event beyond their control? Crime, disease, weather, economy, etc. Is this feasible? Reasonable? Or just a liberal pipedream of one looking for a handout off the backs of hardworking people who, in dire straights, would work hard and help themselves.

    I am sure they will demand to be made a lot better off then before the flood. Do you think they are going to accept shacks from the government to replace the shakes they lost?
