Here is a quote off that link you posted:
“Purina guarantees all of its products, and consumers can receive the full replacement value of the recalled products. Consumers can visit us at www.purina.com or call 1-800-218-5898 to receive more information.”

Take it back to the shop where you bought it with the receipt; you are owed a refund – its not fit for the purpose for which it was sold.
Good job you watched the news.

if your dog has been on it for quite some times and im talking years.. you shud bring ur dog to the vet and have some blood work done. usually they say the symptoms are throwing up and things like that and that it could be kidney failure. if your dog has only been on it a couple of months you shouldnt worry too much but just take it as a precaution and change his or her food. if you would like to do bloodwork for ur dog anyway ogo ahead you have that right. im not sure about the refund but i think as long as ur dog is healthy that more important than you getting back a few bucks.

The store is suppose to refund your money for the food that is on the recall list.

    Hi,
Seal up whatever you have left, and hold on to it till you take your dog to the vet for testing.
If the vet says your dog is ok then bring the remainder to the place you purchased it from for either a refund or exchange.

Just return it to the place you bought it from. They have to refund your money.

Menu Food income fund should be able to answer your question

Wait a little while before returning it. If your dog starts to show signs, just in case, keep the food and the receipt, all necessary documents – they’re evidence.

first of all I am glad you have found out before you fed your dog the food. you save your dogs life, second take all the cans back to the store and tell them that you want your money back because of the recall. they should give it back to you with out any trouble. good luck.

If you want you money back you should go to the store and tell them in there faces that you what your money back now!! They should give you your money back if you stay there yelling for about 1 hour. if not stay the longer if you had time.

The Alpo in question is not made by Menu foods, so they are completlly out of the loop with any Purina product.
Purina will give a full refund either directlly or through the store where you baught it.
Since you didn’t feed any of it you have nothing to worry about.
