How can I feel more comfortable and confient walking my dog rather than using my bike?
Question by Makoce: How can I feel more comfortable and confient walking my dog rather than using my bike?
I usually take her for a bike ride rather than a walk — its because i feel like a target when i walk her.
if a dog runs after me down the street, i can petal away with her.
if there is a person walking down the street with a dog — i can pass before she notices and i can give a easier correction.
if something happens im just faster and slicker.
when i walk she jumps and pulls at other dogs, even with the prong collar and other corrections like cesar millan. if i body block she wraps up my feet, and if i turn her back to them she keeps turning around.
i feel stupid pulling on my dogs leash and making weird motions and such — especially sicne 95% of the people in my neighborhood have horrible dogs! So they wouldnt know dog training even if it smacked them in the face.
for some reason my parents hate the gentle leader
but agree with the prong
go figure x_X i dont get it either
maybe cause its misleading on the face
but i want to train her, not cloak over it
once you remove the head halter the dog isnt trained, just knows its not on and can do what it wants

Try a Gentle Leader. I use one with my APBT and it works wonders! Before buying it, he was a SUPER puller, but now if he tries to pull, I give a gentle tug and he settles right down.
***Well, then all you can do is train your dog to “Heel” on command. Seek a professional trainer to help if you need one***

Q&A: Is advertising in National Tabloids a good idea?
Question by David S: Is advertising in National Tabloids a good idea?
Is advertising my website/business in tabloid magazines a good idea? I know it’s expensive but it goes out to millions of people, but is it a good place to advertise in lets say The National Enquirer, Sun, Globe, etc? Or is it money not worth spent?

It would depend on what product you are selling. You will want to align your known consumers (demographics of people who actually use your product) to what kind of demographics that particular magazine has for its readership. If both are the same, then that is one thing to consider. Something else to consider is what is the cost per thousand you buying space in the magazine. (cost of ad space to reach only a thousand of its circulation) If it is too high, then pass until you can afford to really have placement. Another thing to consider is size, I would not recommend that you purchase space at a small size to just have an ad. It will be too small for people to notice and retain. And one more thing to consider is how many times can you afford to have ad placements? If you can not justify the cost to do it frequently, then it will not be as effective. When placing ads you need to consider reach (how many people read the publication that is actually your target demographic) everyone else is waste and frequency (how many times you will place an ad so that those people will see it and recall). Without both of these, you could waste money best spent on other things . As another option, some national magazines sell space regionally or by market- this can cut the cost down by a lot. Good Luck!

Q&A: What causes the feeling of butterflies in your stomach?
Question by AnimeFREAK: What causes the feeling of butterflies in your stomach?
I know, kind of a strange question, but I’m just curious, because whenever I like someone, I get butterflies in my stomach, and I’m Just curious as to why or how they happen?
Are they just in your head, or is something actually happening your stomach?
Any rude or stupid comments will be reported and deleted. Thanks.

it is part of the ‘fight or flight’ response i.e. when you feel scared or excited (or aggressive). as far as i know it is the feeling of blood draining from the stomach muscles and being diverted to the large muscles of the arms and legs. this change in blood flow happens because when the body enters f/f mode it prepares itself for action (fighting or running), and this requires arm and leg strength, not stomach work (like digestion).
sure being attracted to someone shouldn’t trigger an f/f response, but that’s just how the human body has been designed in evolutionary terms.

does any one know what the rear frame part is called on a dual suspetion bike?
Question by mc199774: does any one know what the rear frame part is called on a dual suspetion bike?
its the back part of the dual suspention bike and iam looking for one ..and i have a 2001 next bike that needs one ..if you can help me that would be good.

Answer by Mtrlpqbiker
It is called a rear triangle. You are not very likely to be able to find this part for your bike. The store where you bought it doesn’t stock parts or do repairs. Even if you could find the piece, it would cost almost as much as you paid for the whole bike. If the rear triangle broke, odds are the rest of the bike isn’t worth saving
