Religion: A History of Violence Part 5

For all of the stupid cavemen out there this is not a video praising Satan. This is to point out how evil your religion is and how if it’s real it’s the work of the devil himself. This is still just a little bit of the violence death and suffering caused by religion and faith. If your going to say that the old testament is not part of the christian faith then your either flat out stupid or you don’t read the bible like a bad Christian… I got the audio track from www.youtube.com it’s titled A Thank you Message from Satan.

Haha, oh Bill, your childlike grasp of the world, and your creeper-like grasp of ladies you are not married to does make me chuckle. It’s not because I like your views, but because you make me realise just how dumb most intelligent design advocates are.
Peanut Butter recalls in USA!?
Question by Moogie: Peanut Butter recalls in USA!?
Here is a brief article on it. Others have specifically mentioned PetSmart biscuits but there is suspicion of others! I know I give my dogs peanut butter and thought others might as well and need to be made aware of this!
Federal health authorities confirmed that peanut butter and peanut paste made by a Virginia company are the sole sources of a salmonella outbreak that has sickened 486 people in 43 states.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found that 14 institutions where people became sick had bought peanut butter made by Peanut Corp. of America, based in Lynchburg, Va. An agency analysis said many of the people who became sick nationwide had eaten prepackaged peanut-butter sandwich crackers sold under Kellogg Co.’s Austin and Keebler brands. Kellogg, which used Peanut Corp.’s ingredients, has since recalled the products.
Connecticut health investigators found an unopened five-pound container of Peanut Corp.’s peanut butter tested positive for the Salmonella Typhimurium strain involved in the outbreak. Earlier this month, Minnesota health officials found an open container of the company’s creamy peanut butter with the same strain.
In addition, Food and Drug Administration investigators found a different strain of salmonella on parts of the floor of the company’s Blakely, Ga., plant, said Stephen Sundlof, director of the agency’s Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition. The agency is still conducting tests at the plant, and Dr. Sundlof said any products containing peanut butter or paste made at the plant after July 1 should be recalled.
Peanut Corp. makes peanut butter that is distributed in bulk to nursing homes, schools and other institutions as well as peanut paste; both were used in dozens of products sold directly to consumers. Last week, the company recalled peanut butter and peanut paste made at its Blakely facility.
On Tuesday, PetSmart Inc. recalled seven of its Grreat Choice Dog Biscuit products that contain peanut paste made by Peanut Corp. PetSmart said it wasn’t aware of any cases of pets becoming ill from the products but has recalled them as a precautionary measure.
Peanut Corp. has since stopped production at the Blakely plant, and recalled peanut butter and a paste containing ground, roasted peanuts. So far, about 125 products have been recalled by companies that used Peanut Corp.’s ingredients.

Is Computer Drafting and Design a good decision?
Question by sean o: Is Computer Drafting and Design a good decision?
I am looking at ITT tech for going back to college. I just want to get my major and get out so i dont spend too much money and dont have to worry about the time consumption. Would this be a good major? I like drawing and science so would this be a good choice for me or no??
Please help! Any comments (even stupid ones) would be helpful. I wont give anyone a thumbs down.

I would say yes. I am not sure if its the kind of major you think it is though. From my experience, computer drafting and design are the people that use AutoCAD, makes industrial designs for computer controlled machines that cut metals, makes blue prints for construction projects, and other industrial type applications.
If you are thinking of drawing, then thats more architecture, artist, type of deal.
I don’t think its an easy thing to be good at, but I am pretty sure that if you do get a job, you get paid well as there are not too many people with those skills.
Actually I just did a search and found this that describes it more:
“A Computer Drafting technician works with designers and engineers to convert their ideas and concepts for new products and designs into accurate drawings that specify size, shape, materials and specifications. These drawings are then used by professionals in manufacturing, consulting, and construction to produce the desired product or structure. Designs are created using computer aided drafting (CAD) equipment. Solid modeling and parametric concepts are introduced and utilized early in the program and throughout the curriculum. “

What features would you want from a lighting design?
Question by Ewen: What features would you want from a lighting design?
If you work in an office environment (or can imagine working in an office environment!), what would you want from the lighting that you use on a daily basis? This could be in the form of mechanical features, or simply what kind of artificial light source you want.
Please take time to answer this question. I would really like all your thoughts, even if you think they may sound stupid. Any input is valuable to me.
Cheers

I would want a feature that you can install in the ceiling as well as a floor lamp.
For the ceilinh fixture i would also like some sort of fan that goes with it as well.. a dimmer would be perfect and in the light fixture it would be nice to have a glass fixture with different colors so that it is sort of opaque and when u turn the light on it isnt as bright but still bright enough so that you can see.
if you go to google and search floor lamps in images you will see a ton of interresting floor lamps
i was once watching hgtv design star and this one guy made a lamp that was made of a thin copper pipe that he bolted to a brick wall and just a simple regular light bulb screwed in at the top witout a lampshade i thought that was a very interresting idea

Q&A: retailers recall Simplicity bassinets ?
Question by T J: retailers recall Simplicity bassinets ?
WASHINGTON – Eleven more retailers have recalled Simplicity bassinets, bringing the total to 17 that have decided to recall the infant beds, which are linked to the deaths of two babies
The Consumer Product Safety Commission said Wednesday that 11 additional retailers are pulling from their shelves the “close-sleeper/bedside sleeper” bassinets because the products pose a strangulation hazard. Those retailers include AAFES, Amazon.com LLC, Bed Bath and Beyond/BuyBuyBaby, Burlington Coat Factory, Chelsea & Scott LTD (OneStepAhead), CSN Stores, Fingerhut Direct Marketing, Kohl’s Department Stores, ShopKo Stores Inc., Sweet Pea Decor, and six stores of USA Baby.
The agency first announced on Aug. 28 that Wal-Mart Stores Inc., Toys “R” Us Inc., Kmart Corp., Big Lots, Target, J.C. Penney have recalled the products. The recall affects nearly 900,000 bassinets.
In recalling the Simplicity 3-in-1 and 4-in-1 convertible bassinets, the retailers have agreed to provide a refund or store credit to consumers who return the product to the store where they purchased it, CPSC said.
A 6-month-old girl from Shawnee, Kan., was strangled on Aug. 21 when she became trapped between the bassinet’s metal bars. In September 2007, a 4-month-old girl from Noel, Mo., became trapped in the bassinet’s metal bars and died.
The Simplicity bassinets have metal bars spaced farther apart than federal standards allow. Julie Vallese, a CPSC spokeswoman, said consumers can tell if their Simplicity bassinet is recalled if it has removable fabric that is fastened by Velcro.
SFCA Inc., the company that purchased the assets of Reading, Pa.-based Simplicity Inc. earlier this year, has refused to recall the products. SFCA maintains that it is not responsible for products previously manufactured by Simplicity.
