Portal Design (4) Box delivery system malfunction
Sorry, I was listening to radio while testing my map. Well, I got to make a new sketch about the multi-box delivery system that, as you can see, doesn’t work. At all. In Portal, the delivery system only delivers ONE box. Mine is supposed to deliver multiple. That’s why it’s hard.

Stupid Otis Glass Traction Elevator at the Tesoro Hotel, Ixtapa, Mexico
Exterior Building Picture: www.flickr.com This whole building has only 1 ELEVATOR! What idiot would design a building this big and think that 1 elevator could handle the traffic? And don’t blame Mexico for this, all of these hotels are designed and funded by American and European companies.

Their market is fiercely patriotic and does not deal well with design changes much less vegetarian curry.

yes I think it was. Harley riders that are for the most part patriotic and will not buy a bike made in India. That is, if they know. They will probably start buying Indian and Victory Motorcycles.

My shower head leaks a lot. We’ve tried tightening the faucet at the bolt and not just the handle and it still drips and drips. The back of the shower wall where you would normally open up and look at the pipes has cabinets built up against it. (A really stupid design I know but not one we made.) Does anyone know how we can get our shower to stop dripping?

The seat, where the stem of the faucet cartridge seals, is dirty and letting water bypass I would presume.
You should be able to take the handle for the shower apart (if it’s a 3 handle faucet) AFTER you turn the water off (some cartridges can blow out under pressure so turn the water off then turn the handle to relieve the water pressure) and clean the seat where the stem tightens down against it and re-install cartridge.

The term “intelligent design” indicates that the design of human beings came from some sort of Supreme Being that could design life forms BETTER than the life forms that were created.
So why is it clear that the design of human beings was not very well thought out? Would that not indicate Stupid Design, or Average Design?
Why is it that if a human being sat down and re-designed the human being, the new design would be 1000 times better (more intelligently designed) than the current state of humanity?
Example : Two eyes in front of the head. If I were to re-design the human being I would place 2 eyes in front, two eyes in the back of the head, one eye on top of the head and one eye on each side of the head and a brain capable of handling the extra visual intake.
Would you agree that that configuration would be more intelligent than two eyes in front?
If you disagree…please explain why 2 eyes in front of the head is the more intelligent design…if you are intelligent enough.
Human re-designers…please add some more examples if you believe your design would be vastly more intelligent than what currently exists.
Thanks for intelligent answers…simple answers will be considered an admission of a simple minded designer. 🙂

i was planning on going into graphic design cuz im good at it. i was thinking of being a psychologist anstead but i dont think theres jobs 4 that either since everyone wants to be one? wats a good job that i can be artistic in that isn’t completely useless?

There are many things that you can do. You can be a set designer for movies and stuff, or a fashion designer, interior designer, or even become an art teacher at a school or something. you can always be just a straight up artist too. It’s not like graphic design is the only good paying job in the field of art.

I looks like it has a motor mount bolted through it, and that seems like a pretty stupid design. Do you have to block up the motor?
