It occurs to me that someone who goes by the name genius would know to follow the instructions included with the recall. Since I don’t have said recall in possession and you do, what does that imply?

If you have one of the recalled dishwashers you are told to unplug it and not use it. Sorry, but it means you will have to wash dishes by hand for awhile.

Take down your model and serial number and contact your LOCAL maytag authorized servicer. The local people can take care of you without sitting on hold for 10 years (or at least we don’t). If you call maytag directly, holding is guarenteed, and you won’t know the company who is coming to your home.
