UK IPhone 4 Design Fault on o2 Reception Signal Problems

The Bottom Left of the phone is the 3G Signal Antenna ,The Top right is the Bluetooth Antenna, when you hold the two together,you bridge the connection and cause the Signal to drop BIG Design Fault by Apple , The official response from Steve jobs was “Hold it differently” At a guess i think this is just the 3G side of it that causes the problem, as US Iphone users are instantly switched to Edge ,where as the UK customers go to the crawling standard mobile data

this vid is about N97 camera shutter faults i sent my phone in for repair as the camera shutter has damaged the lens i then got this letter from 3 refusing to fix it under warranty, as they say its physical damage or its been dropped or crushed which it has’nt then they tell me if i want my handset back unfixed i have to pay £19.99 or if i want it fixed i have to pay £29.99 i have refused to pay and told them if they take it off my next bill i will take them to court and have contacted trading standards if you have the same problem contact trading standards or leave a comment

You can’t tell someone how to hold their phone. Apple screwed up with that piece of crap. ANDRIOID all the way……….
Why are you trying to hold it like a mong? All you need to do it hold it with your palm on the bottom left and the reception will drop.
even with this problem is it still worth getting? in this clip was you just losing the internet not the actual reception so you could still make a call. also does this only affect people who hold their phone in their left hand. please reply
i use2 had iphone 4g. on o2 but o2 are fuckers they want to charge the money but they dnt want to fix they 3g wifi. so i did cancelled and went to orange 100% way better i got the iphone 4g and the web it taks 2sec to open. go on orange u see.
I could fix this problem quite easily, Apple needs to coat the aluminium antennae with a non conductive coating to stop people from short circuiting both of the antennas with there hands.When your hand touches the antenna the impedance will change which will in turn change the rx/tx properties of the aerial. HOW DID IT GET THROUGH TESTING WITH THIS FAULT. I have had Iphones for the past 2.5 years and never used a case and I have never had this problem. I currently have a iphone 3GS.

Aaand Apple fucks up again in hardware design. Just stop buying their stupid shit, the only thing they’re good at is dressing up mediocre equipment and selling it at over double the logical price..
iPhone, iTunes, everything of the such is designed for pensioners and children, and it’s stopping you from using your brain as it makes all your decisions for you.
..I’m not doing any difference here, I don’t know why I keep doing this. I guess I’m not as sharp on marketing as Apple 😛
@kienez You could be bothered to pay to sue apple but not change the way you make a call?. Take note technofiles before queuing up for 12 hours for the must have gadgets. Apple are turning these things out like hot cakes and can’t possibly be giving them a full test before the release.

Can I sue Apple because we bought the phone and found out about the glitch and now “they” have to teach “us” babies how to hold correctly hold “our” phone to correctly “use” it when it’s “their” fault because it can be “fixed” by them and not “us” ? (Apple said we’re holding it the wrong way, hold it differently) This statement is so insulting.
Apple needs to recall all iPhone 4 and either refund or fix it. Because it’s a hardware issue and any software update won’t fix it.
I changed my mind about buying a new iPhone 4 until they fix this issue.

I picked the phone back up yesterday, GPS works but not fully.. also got engineers report which states absorption tape fitted to gps, now the phone periodically freezes and will not open messages arghhhhh, spoke to their manager and also reported to trading standards, i will never buy from car phone warehouse again, and def never get a nokia again… :((
@whitepanther2004 offer which they sort of did at first they offered me a nokia x6 said no as i’l never get a phone from nokia again then offered some rubbish LG fone i said no then they offered a sony ericsson xperia x10 which is worth £489 sim free i think i got a bargain the xperia x10 is by far one of the best smartphones compared to nokia best advice is to complain till you go blue but dont swear at them as you get no where read the sales of goods act thats what i did
@whitepanther2004 me a list of phone ranging from £35 to £75 i laughed in there face as the n97 when new is worth £399 after another 2-3 hours on fone they offered another list ranging from £35 to £220 i still laughed in there face then they said they will get a manager to ring me back which didnt happen on the time they said about 4hrs later i spoke to the manager which he said thats the best they can do i told there best wasnt good enough he then said he would phone back with a better
@whitepanther2004 i know what you mean my n97 has been in repair 9 times and replaced twice but still same problems as you. my n97 crashed 2weeks ago so that it would not reboot i foned 3 told them they said all they would do is repair it as i only have six months on my contract but when phoning trading standards they said it doesnt matter if there is 1month left they have to replace it with a different fone as im in a contract so i foned 3 back after about a hour of going no where they offered
cool video-worst phone i ever had-been back twice for the camera lens scratch issue, screen freeze and not repsonsive, soft unlock failure, when charger disconnected it still shows charging, and now been back for no gps signal for 3 repairs. Still they dont swap or update it. I now have problem where after pcsuite update it keeps disconnecting my phone. even as latest firmware too, soft and hard reset does not work also :?(
cut a screen protect down to size and stick it on the camera lens glass…..

Nokia Care Centres in Australia are fixing this for free. I took my phone in with another problem and they told me they fixed the lens cover too. Get Nokia to talk to 3 to get your phone back. They shouldn’t be able to charge you if it’s under warranty.
u should got it from optus if it gets stolen broken or anythng u get a new 1 4 free its really good
I got my n97 about 4 month ago and during this time 3 months it is in some Nokia Service because it’s blocking itself all the fuckin’ time!
this is the second time im gonna get my n97 fixed since i first got it on June 25 which was the release date here in New York… now i gotta go back to fifth ave because my nokia wont start up past the nokia start up screen n now im back to my n95… really not liking my n97 at the moment it could actually be a flop no wonder theres the n900 n n97 mini out soo fast smh
I got my n97 fixed for free, and i have also 3 here in Sweden. All i did was to go to the nearest 3 shop and they sent it in. But i had to wait like 4-5 weeks becuse the company called “Anovo” didn’t have the new camera part. ANd plus it was my second time i had it repaired, first time was when it didn’t boot after an OS update, and a hardreset was a no go. And if i am to have that kind of problem again, i will demand a new device for the same price, or else i will sue them and NOKIA.
what is your contract? How many mins texts permonth? how much monthly?
i think theres a repair policy were if the handset needs to be repaired 3 times within the first year you can have it replaced as its not upto standards but they will try to fixed rather then replace unless you tell them you want it replaced
same happened with me after they replaced my scratched lens they did not quiet re assembled it well. Now i dont know what they did with its vibrator as its giving a scratching sound from inside. OMG my n97 has been with me for 20days only and it has been with nokia care for repair for around 25 days as a total. N97 is the biggest flop.
3 also said that its not a common fault & its not on the list of design faults but i bet it is
yep 3 finally fixed it for free after 2weeks of phone calls after they took my handset in for repair but the idiot who fixed at nokia has’nt put it back together correctly & it sounds like its going to snap when opening like the springs are out of place, the call buttons stay lite up 24/7 even when locked which they did’nt before is that normal? so ive phone 3 & its the same old ballocks of them sayin sorry & taking my handset for another week so im refusing to pay next bill
