As a wedding? photographer, my most popular one is…”I need those put on a disc so I can take them to walmart and get them developed there.” It’s like they LOVE the pictures until you tell them they have to pay for them…then they’re only worth $0.15 a print.

This is way too easy. Set a price for what you think you and your product and talent is worth and ask for your money up front. If they refuse to pay what you? think is appropriate. YOU WALK AWAY! I’ve been doing it for over a decade.

As? a Professional Photographer I run into this from time to time. Not as much anymore but it still happens. I just make a decision on the spot to turn the tables on them and then educate them on our industry. Do they get it? Not always but if just one which does happen understand then it helps our industry.

Hilarious. The only thing missing was the constant offers? for Profit Sharing. Like if the lady in the salon was an actress and offered to give the Stylist a part of the profits from any gigs she got thanks to his haircut.

Anything I could say was better said? by british photographer Tony Sleep. I am unable to put link here, but google his name and the words ¨no budget for photos¨ and read it. I have a similar text and use it to weed out the idiots.

I work in web hosting and this is my job daily.

    “Go Daddy is only 4.99/month”
“Well? we are not the taco stand Sir”

    -sigh-

  16. skullknap says:

    Oh this? is perfect

  17. TheEarlOfTheRedLie says:

    This is perfect!
This could also? be applied to digital artists/3D modelers’ clients.

  18. Julie Hunter says:

Thank you….? a million times over!

  19. agenthelios1 says:

With these kinds of people its best you just tell them? to get their cheap asses out of your face.

These are people with a sense of entitlement.

  20. tmack1337 says:

In the situation you described, giving a discount? in exchange for a shit ton of networking IS actually acceptable if they are valuable contacts to have. A freetard demanding you give them a caviar level service for a mcdonalds price on the other hand…well, they can go screw themselves. 😛

  21. Diana Febry says:

This really cheered me up today. Thank you.

Commendations to the innovative folks at Scofield. A REQUEST: two days ago, at a professional conference which had no-to-nil WiFi, someone wanted to see your fabulous video. The hotel’s wretched WiFi service prohibited displaying it. In case this problem happens again–I just logged in to see if there is a way to download it…and, there isn’t. Please consider enabling downloading…YouTube is (or? is about to) provide a way for authorized video downloads. THANKS! And…great job!

  23. MrSGL21 says:

yeah and something like that is the last thing you want to be? cheap on.

  24. MrSGL21 says:

I was in a computer store recently and I overheard a woman talking about a particular IT need she had and was looking to buy the equipment. the sales guy looked slightly lost, and I do alot of business with that store so I pitched in to help him out. She wanted my card but? wanted to trade services. Wtf am I going to eat? Your hour in a limo is fucking useless to me. its why we have MONEY as a medium of exchange our in modern society.

  25. MrSGL21 says:

its her business. people like that in which she is talking about are bigger headaches than they are worth. I once had the lowest advertized price for a service in my area and I had someone call up, tell me they needed my services right now, but weren’t willing to pay my price. She told me she could get someone cheaper. I told her “well I don’t know why you are calling me good luck”? and click hung up on her. Some people you don’t want their business.

  26. SoulOfSorin says:

  44. BlanchonNG says:

7:21 “What do you? here ?” … ÇA NE VEUX RIEN DIRE ?!

  45. Shanks613 says:
