Did you even read what you copied? No religious test will be required to qualify for any office or public trust. It doesnt say that religion cant be in government and must stay out. And I believe that you mean the US was the first country to tell the government that it did not have a place in the church. Not that the church couldnt have a place in? the government. The US was the first country to tell the church that they have a separate place out of government. No country before the US did that.
