Question by Whiskey Dick: Is religion designed just to keep stupid people in line?
Best answer:
Answer by God is in a good mood !
Nope.
What do you think? Answer below!
Simple. YES!
Yes.
Would you like a violation notice for insulting other users?
Yes, that’s the way I understand it.
SOME people need it to keep in line yes.
I’m far from stupid and far from in line.. so your answer is no!
Cinn =)
no, its designed to keep everyone in line, it just only works on stupid people
you mean marry 12 wifes like Prophet mouhmed?
No, that’s the media. And Twitter
The sheer amount of people obsessed with what color Miley Cyrus’s couch is should tell you that.
Again: Stupidity is not a prerequisite for religion anymore than intelligence is one for atheism.
If you don’t already know an atheist who is a little “dim”, all your friends probably do…
Yes, most definitely yes.
I don“t think it started out that way, but it certainly has been used for that more than anything else.
No. It was designed to keep the uneducated masses in line when the masses were uneducated. Now that the masses are starting to get a lot more educated religion is fading.
Does it keep you in line? Quit name calling, it is very boring.
Yes, I think so.
Have you actually read the Bible? There’s a lot of “out of line” people in there who are heros of God. Christianity didn’t start out as people “staying in line” either. Do you really ever actually think about these things before you ask them and everyone just chimes in “yes”? I think it’s more “stupid” (sorry, I didn’t start it), to ask a thoughtless question like this and blindly agree with it than it is to consider you actions and weigh them against some moral standards and be in control of your thoughts and actions. I guess you can define it how you like, but I obviously won’t agree with you.
