Question by Black hole gravity: How stupid is wikipedia to publish highly detailed calissified blueprints of thermonuclear weapons?

Why oh why Wikipedia would put at risk the public welfare by allowing such sensitive information to be widely disinseminated is incomprehensible. Perhaps this free speech stuff is getting way out of hand, what do you think?

Wikipedia is interesting all in itself. No where else can a web site lead unknowing people astray. I wouldn’t trust a darn thing I got from there knowing that anyone can add and delete contents at will.
    Crazy!

OMG those are highly detailed. I bet Wile E. Cyote could use those to build an A Bomb real easy. Dang! That Road Runner better look out now!

  3. I cant think of a name right now says:

I wouldn’t necessarily call them “highly detailed classified blueprints,” considering that many science textbooks explain how they work. Also, even if someone knew how to make the weapon, they would still need to get the parts(which is why the world hasn’t been destroyed by terrorists, anarchists, or the curious neighborhood geek as yet).

well now that I know how to create thermonuclear weapons…I just have to find some Plutonium amongst other items that I don’t think any average person can get their hands on. The people that have the resources to get the supplies already have people that can make these with their eyes closed…so posting it on wikipedia posts no threat.
