I own a 1999 White LT-13 tractor. The PTO and deck height are the same lever which is under extreme stress when you have it in the off position. So therefore after a few years, the metal holding the bar in the off position bends and the damn thing starts to slip into the engage position due to there being no button to push on the top of the lever. You just pull the stupid thing out of the grove and put it in the engage level you want. It’s a stupid design and the tractor itself sucks.
I agree with you 100%. MTD is a pain to work on, never mind maintain, it is hard to take the decks off of them and a lot of parts are in bad places and there are a lot of horrible design flaws.
