Don’t piss in my ear and tell me it’s raining. Intelligent Design is repackage Creationism as it’s only being pushed by religious parties. It’s not a scientific theory with testable results that can be repeated. It has not stand the test of peer review from the scientific community. The higher intelligence is an untestable factor. There are more examples unintelligent design and most them are extinct.
@Skandalos ID has nothing to do with the Bible. The intelligent design theory only states that a higher intelligence sparked life on earth. Whether that intelligence be God or aliens. In reality, ID isn’t a threat to evolution in any way. It only deals with the origins of life, not the origins of species.
Creationism, on the other hand, is the theory that states everything was made in six literal days as it says in the Bible. Which hopefully anyone with a brain knows is stupid… hopefully.

The most wisdom you gain through doubt, not through believing. Certainly evolution theory is playing in a way higher class than ID theory. It isnt perfect but waaaaay closer to truth than those faerie tales of the bible.

You’re better when your not trying to be political and have actual opinions…. because when you do you just sound stupid. also have you ever read origin of species? please do. And there kinda is evidence of evolution, you’re just to stupid to look it up or more like look around. also yeah evolution is a theory… just like gravity… yeah look it up.

Since when is standing up for the incredibly robust and well supported theory of evolution by natural selection being a “neo-darwinist?” Richard Dawkins is not a prophet, a pope, or a guru. He’s a fucking scientist. You obviously don’t really understand the nature of biological evolution. Your asking for an impossible type of evidence, like one macro evolution within, hell, a century. Guess what. Micro evolution = macro evolution. If you want “that” type of proof, that’s the best we can give you
I like that this guy actually looks at what has been discovered and actually determines a sensible opinion from it. Imagine if everyone did that!
Of course we can’t know 100% that evolution occured, we can be pretty darn sure.
Sure, you can say some creator stuffed a bunch of bones in an organized fashion to trick us into believing in evolution, but evolution is science, and science only involves what we can observe and deduce.What I’m saying is, by logic, evolution is far more likely than intelligent design or creation. Of course we can’t PROVE it. We can’t prove most things in the universe. But we accept it because it’s very probable.
Bringing religion into a science class is 100% wrong. End of story. Just like bringing science class into a church would be wrong.
@ivaflimkien Because there really are no two sides to this argument. It’s simply a matter of some people not accepting reality. I’m completely amazed, more so baffled, that this “debate” still exists in our day and age. Referring to it as if it’s some sort of debate between two rational sides is absolutely ludicrous, because it’s one side consisting of logic and reason, and the other side consisting of absolute absurdity.

@Palon 1983 Yeah, but that doesn’t change the species, which is what is in question. No one questions adaptation a.k.a. micro-evolution. People have HUGE questions regarding the changing from one species to another a.k.a. macro-evolution.
I don’t think this man understands evolution. Evolution is driven by natural selection. Bacteria only need to change in such a way as to survive the pressures of their environment. Until a new environmental pressure comes along which requires they change or die, they don’t need to evolve into something else. Evolution doesn’t always occur. That’s why some organisms haven’t changed much in millions of years and the other 90% of all species ever to have lived are now extinct.
@Backmanmatt indeed but it changed it disolving fluids its just if a human changed his stumach acid stuff (how ever its called) to disolv different food as Grass, Raw Meat etc so somthing evolved
