Question by Ashley: Anybody agree that the way playoff system is designed in the NFL is stupid?
like how are the patriots with a 9-2 record a wild card team and the jaguars with a 6-5 record are for sure playoff contenders. To base off playoffs by records, not by who is winning their division.
@ brother, good point

i agree…
What do you think? Answer below!
Then why have divisions?
I cant believe you’re whining about the Jaguars but don’t mention the seahawks atop the NFC West being 7-9. Lol, i hate the texans and i hope their children die of cancer.
32 teams in the NFL.
8 divisions.
4 teams per division.
1 team from each division gets auto berth to the playoffs.
Forgetting about wildcards for a minute,
every team has a 1 in 4 chance of making the playoffs.
I call that genius on the NFL’s part.
Would you rather have the Yankees go to the playoffs every year?
i agree because there are more deserving teams than the rams seahawks caridinals or 49ers i think tget should go by records because you can win all your division games and lose the rest and still make it to the playoffs
It’s fair based on the division structure and scheduling that is in place. There are too many teams to be able to play everyone so it would not be fair to go solely on record. Any team that has the pleasure of playing against all 4 NFC West teams this year is much better off than those that have the NFC South or AFC East.
If you can’t be top of your division, where you against the same teams as everyone else, then you have to prove you’re the next best thing. That’s where NE is sitting right now.
