Question by Justin: Are Macs designed for stupid people?
My friend says he cant use anything but Mac OS X. He needs a button for everything, he needs to point and click and hardly understands keyboard short cuts.
I use Linux and Windows.
I am wondering, are Macs designed for stupid people who need their hands held while using a computer?

No. Macs are for rich people who think $2500 is a good deal for a computer, and for long-time customers who’ve gotten accustomed to the Mac OS interface.
Linux is the only OS that doesn’t cater to people who need their hands held. And that’s because you need some programming savvy to be able to use it in the first place!
Macs OS is far superior to any other. It definitely is more user friendly, but i wouldn’t say it’s for stupid people…mac is the only company that makes the components inside the computer as well as the computer…you buy a dell, gateway, hp, or w/e, and you’re getting all the same components inside, they all buy from outside companies, mac does not which is why mac is a superior system to them. But yes Mac OS is more user friendly and easier to use once you get used to it.
Yes. It is designed for idiots. As others have stated.. only an idiot would willingly use an apple product.
Paying $2500 for an apple logo while the machine itself is sporting the very best in nVidia, AVI, Intel and M$.
Some people just aren’t as techy as others.
I’ve used both for years. One isn’t harder than the other once you get used to them. I know people who have used computers for years, and still go to the file menu to cut or paste, but I wouldn’t call them stupid.
Macs are easier to use and considered a very… simple computer. But if you want simple you have to pay about $2000 more than a more convenient PC XD
