lol you dont make it waterproof you just have to set it in a location or add things that will help it drain off the trail. e.g. never build a trail on the fall line because thats where all the water goes down, instead, cross the fall line and put a 2 logs about 3.5 inches right where the water flows (so it looks like / / [/=log]) therfore, water drains through the gap, not on your trail.
