Because it was a democrat witch hunt on Republican administrations that didn’t want to keep wasting money in New Orleans. Fact was the money was given to New Orleans in the 60’s and the squandered it on unions but the investigation would have never gotten that “deep.”

Because he was trying to protect all of the Democrats from Loiusiana?
Wow..I didn’t know that..Doesn;t surprise me though..
lets be real, mccain doesnt give a damn about katrina
Not only did he do that, he even lied and said that he had supported every investigation into the government response to Katrina when in fact he voted against an investigation.
And yet he had to nerve to go there and say ‘a federal response like this will never happen again’.
FLIP-FLOP
Because it was a serious waste of tax payer dollars. The democrat governor and mayor both failed miserably to protect their citizens. The city had taken money granted them by the federal government for maint. of the levee system and spent it on a bridge to new casinos. We wouldn’t REALLY want to point fingers. Now would we? Those losers are as shady as Jefferson and his family. And, at that time, they’d managed to kill more Americans in three weeks than we’d lost in the war in Iraq! Why waste money on what we already know?
A) Because everyone knows it failed because the billions given to LA to fix them was squandered.
B) No one believes (except for the obama crowd) that anyone sent divers down and planted explosives, then blew it up to kill the black man.
Because he chose to.
Because he is better informed and knows what’s best for his country.
How come the Democrat Governor of Louisiana did not sign the needed documents before Katrina to make it legally possible for other states to send in relief supplies.
Or better yet how come the Mayor who is/was a Democrat failed to rally the police and fire departments in New Orleans in to a force ready to hold down the fort until relief came in.
Just exactly what was there to investigate?A storm that happens once in a generation destroys an entire city and you need to assign blame?Put down the partisan politics and realize that the Democratic mayor and governor also did not do nearly enough to evacuate the city before the storm, even though they were aware of the force of the hurricane. Also realize that they didn’t ask for FEMA’s help in the aftermath and FEMA doesn’t just move in without the request of the local government. And yet somehow John McCain is at fault here?Do you have any idea the absurdity of your implication? There is nobody to blame for the levee failures and therefore no investigation needed.Nothing was stopping the force of Katrina, plain and simple.
Because the levee was built in the ’60s and it wasn’t went to take the force of a hurricane like Katrina. The outcome of the investigation would have costed millions of dollars and provided none of the material the senators would have read (remember many voted on a war with Iraq without reading the intellegence reports). I the end it wouldn’t have provided any information anybody would be interested in (let alone senators) and the outcome is already known.
