(WTNH) — From the News 8 archives, here is a report from June 28, 1983, on the Mianus River Bridge collapse in Greenwich which killed three people.

I am going say it now and now only here we go.I am a christian
and…christians say this all the time when people ask what is the
RAPTURE… the rapture is an event when the trees animals and plants in

checks in the Book of Life if your name is on there you will be in heaven.
If your name is not in there you go to hell or stay on earth where the
devil will live not in hell where there is a lake of lave and lake of fire.
No he lives on earth where the cement is at and dead plants. Thanks for

It’s still incredible to me that San Francisco built double deck highways
and bridges in one of the world’s worst earthquake zones. Stupid!?

They say California is going to have a MAJOR earthquake within the next 100
years, (well that was a couple years ago), seismologists say it will be
possibly as bad as the one in 1906, 1989, it’s right on theSan Andreas
fault.

That is scary, but the Cypress Street Freeway collapse was even scarier!
My mum and dad lived there when this happened. and i went back to visit
with them and they are building a new one…but its like behind date.

I cannot believe this took place 22 years ago. I still remember this
earthquake.
This video triggered my Gephyrophobia when I first saw it. At least I’m
over it now.
I remember being in that earth quake. I pooped my pants.
But I wonder when the next big earthquake like this will hit San

The San Francisco 89 Earthquake is real. You got to be a real idiot to
think this is a fake. That means you are an idiot.
San Francisco will not able to withstand a 7.9 or 8.1 earthquake. If there
7.4 or 7.5 hit San Francisco, there will be considerable damage on bridges
and freeway and tall buildings.
Refresh my memory: I don’t live in California, but was this the Loma-Prieta
earthquake, or the Northridge earthquake?

“Authorities” paid no attention to the information about the bridge that
was supplied to them far in advance by residents. Instead the “leaders”
waited for catastrophic structural failure and needless deaths. Today, that
sort of negligence and incompetence is rewarded with perks, a salary boost,
bonuses and promotion.
