No, I feed my dogs purina, and and I checked just a couple minutes ago. They’re not on the recall list

No They make their food in the US and they are not involved in the recall or menu foods. I have been giving my cat Purina for 5 years and I have half a bag that I have been giving her during this recall and she has had no problem. The only foods that are on the recall list is pounce and Alpo and mighty max dog food. I have 3 emails from them. I give my cat purina cat chow complete. Go Email purina if you want to be sure. it will take 1 to 2 day reply.

Purina Dry is not on recall. I don’t know where you got the info.
    Here’s a complete list.

If you are in possession of a variety or multi-pack, please be sure to check the individual can or pouch rather than relying solely on the date coding on the side of the carton.

I believe Purina did a voluntary recall of some moist food as a safeguard, but I do not believe they have any recall for any dry food. You can sign up to receive emails from them and they have fun things… not just selling products, but also a photo competition, an animated animal card you can send to people, and they sent me the notice of their voluntary recall.

It’s a bad assumption to make saying that “they are waiting so long to investigate”. You have no basis for such an accusation, and you should not state it as if it were fact because you have no knowledge or proof. It’s also a bad assumption to imply they are trying to make more money off us “before we quit buying their products”. If you were right, they’d all be out of business by now.

Just go and check their website regularly so long as you’re upset or concerned. If it bothers you and you really believe they are only out for money and not trying to sell you a good quality product, then you should make your own dog food.

To my knowledge, no Purina brand products have been affected by this latest incident. Purina has pretty good control over the manufacture of all their products and the ingredients they contain.

I read an article recently (sorry, can’t remember quite where) that stated that Purina owns 90% of the U.S. patents dealing with pet foods and that they charge no license fees for their use. The thought being that the welfare of the animals takes precedence.

Just my opinion, but I think they’re a solid, trustworthy concern.
