Question by Ben L: Products for red acne scars?

I’ve recently been able to clear up my acne, but I’m left with a lot of red scars, mostly on my back. What are the best off the shelf products for getting rid of the redness?

Shelf products. Hm, Have you tried scar gel? Or rub some lotion on your back. But if the scars hurt or itch, make a doctor apartment.

  1. Ninja. says:

Products with glycolic acid (used a few times a week) greatly help reduce redness left from scars. DDF also makes a cleanser called brighting gel that helps — in fact they have a few products designed for that if I recall.
Usually heavy exfoliants work well. They buff out the skin and help even out the skin tone. Spas usually offer facials that can prove useful, but of course are a bit pricier. I recommend them though, because if they’re licensed estheticians they can get their hands on stuff that’s not readily available over the counter.
