Question by GhostLurker: Design Flaw?

On my website, www.valianceguild.com, i tried to update it and it seemed to be working great for me and my friends. Now before i went to finish the site, i found out the it doesnt display correctly on high resolutions. The buttons and text begin to drift from where they are supposed to be. Can anyone help? Im using Dreamweaver CS3, and the objects are in divs. I will probally need step by step instructions lol

Your problem is that you are using a background image for your whole layout. This pretty much means it will display incorrectly on every resolution except yours.

I frankly would suggest that you redo the site and make sure all the pages are uniform. It looks ugly right now.

I would suggest you take a look at this website to get a better grounding of what you’re doing with your divs.

I would suggest starting out using Notepad instead of DW for your first website, but =\

Go to your site and shrink your browser horizontally. Watch the text in the box in the middle (“Valiance is a newly formed guild …”) I think you want to fix that.
