millions of Chinese-made toys for children have been pulled from shelves in North America and Australia after scientists found they contain a chemical that converts into a powerful “date rape” drug when ingested.
Two children in the U.S. and three in Australia were hospitalized after swallowing the beads.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation withthe firm named below, today announced a voluntary recall of thefollowing consumer product. Consumers should stop using recalledproducts immediately unless otherwise instructed.

I wouldn’t buy anything that had the auqa label now at all, even if it was just the auqa dots.

I’m really begining to think so…and even after those were recalled, there have been doller general cars recalled and even curious george toys….all for lead paint….I think toy factories just need to move back the the states
Isn’t this crazy! My daughter had been begging for this toy, so my mother bought it for her for a Christmas gift. Thank God it was recalled before she received it! I can’t imagine what could of happened had she received it.
I think it would be much safer if we all just get our children a big cardboard box to play with for christmas seriously that is what the world is coming to with all these toy recalls. It seems as though nothing is safe anymore and it’s really sad. The toy companies are greedy and they use china to make their toys because from what i heard and read the china workers make .75 cents an hour to make these toys. That is why most toys are made in china and not the US.
i am so scared now to buy my kids toys that this year for christmas my bf and i are just buying themclothes and washing them a million times befor they get them. it is sad when parents whom already have so much to worry about with their kids now have to worry about the fact the toy they are playing with may have the date rape drug or led paint in it.
I think that criminal charges should be brought against the manufacturer of this toy. I mean seriously, how do you accidentaly put a dangerous chemical into a toy? Espeacially the drug that converts into the “date rape” drug? Come on, get it together, I think that companies should only be allowed a certain amount of recalls before they get shut down, too bad, I don’t care what company it is, they should go to prison for what they have done. Don’t these toys get tested before they go to market, well obviously not, I am soooo disapointed in China right now it makes me sick.
