Pet food recall!?

Question by Katherine S: Pet food recall!?

I know of the website www.menufoods.com which shows the list of recalled canned and pouched foods for dogs and cats. However, last night on the news the news people said that there is another recall of dog food and cat food, but this time it is dry food. But they didnt say which dry foods it was. Does anyone on here by chance know what dry foods are on the recalled list? I would like to let my friend know soon because I think that the food she feeds her kitties is one on the recall list.

Thanks for you help in advance.

Purina’s recalled products include: 13.2-ounce and 22-ounce ALPO Prime Cuts cans and 6-, 8-, 12- and 24-can ALPO Prime Cuts Variety Packs. They have four-digit code dates of 7037 through 7053, followed by the plant code 1159. Those codes follow a ?Best Before Feb. 2009? date. This information should be checked on the bottom of the can or the top or side of the multi-pack cartons.

I read today they were supposed to pull all brands of food made by the Nestle food company off the shelves. Melmane or something close to that name was being found in it.

    I know what it is.
    Pet nutrition
Hills Prescription dietm/d feline dry cat food
Science Diet. I am not sure which one because it just said Science Diet when I read the article. It did not say which one.

If you need to find out what foods are good and find things that you can cook for you pet then go to hubpages.com. I have told other people about this and they were happy about this. Go check it out.

.These are the foods that were pulled Voluntarly Alpo Prime cuts in gravey wet dog food with specific date codes and also Jerkey treats , gravey train, beef sticks pounce meaty morsels. .

Purina does not send its cat food out of the US and they make it themselfs and I got a email about Purina and their dry food is ok.
