From the deviled egg: “Can u please speak to Kenwood and ask them to design
a car radio that I can work. And the train ticket machines too while I’m at
it. And flat pack furniture instructions. Or is it just me?”

So gotta love the chaos button! What terrified me for that PhD student, was
the microwave did not cut out when she opened the door! Yikes! I’m a
practicing doc and software designer, and see these problems all the time.
Our solution of course is more checking by humans, instead of better
design… From an aesthetic point of view on the video, the beginning was
WAY too long (4 minutes before we get to the meat of the matter is too
    artsy for a serious topic).

  3. Dominic Furniss says:

From a microwave racer: “Hai! So the airconditioning unit in my hotel in
[place] had a ‘chaos’ button! Still not sure what it was for though, it
didn’t seem to do anything either…

@henryhbk Thanks. We were worried by the microwave not cutting out too –
perhaps the microwaves did cut off but the fan and the light continued??
The microwave has now gone so I can’t test this. Thanks for the aesthetic
feedback too. I’ve received similar comments offline. This film was the
result of a film making course so I guess I got carried away with being
arty… I like it because it sets up the ‘dream’ and ‘nightmare’ theme…
but plenty of people agree with your line of thinking. Ta

YOU THINK MICROWAVES ARE BAD, I HAVE FOR MAY YEARS MADE MY OWN AMATEUR M/C
ANALYSIS OBSERVATIONS AND THIS PROBABLY COMES CLOSE TO “TAKING THE
    CAKE”…COPIER-SYSTEMS! ANALYSE THAT!

That chaos button is to interesting not to look into it further. Apparently
it’s a special kind of defrost function; just google “chaos defrost
microwave” (I’d post a link, but youtube is being retarded about it)

The Chaos Button! I have my own chaos button on my microwave…it features
    one of my vids 😉
