Most organic substances contain calcium and magnesium (even fruit). Wouldn&#8217;t the ingredients in hair products have those components as well? And if so why aren&#8217;t we concerned about hair creams, shampoos, gels, and conditioners as well?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Best answer:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><i>Answer by Sur La Mer<\/i><br \/>If you&#8217;re too concern about the hard water in your hair, rinse them with bottled water. That&#8217;s what I use when I&#8217;m traveling. Some celebrities, ship Perrier Water to wherever they&#8217;re vacationing, and wash their hair with bottled Perrier water or spring water.<\/p>\n<p>Anything that&#8217;s in our shampoos, whether OTC or Salon products, can&#8217;t be that bad, they&#8217;ve had the same ingredients since the 60&#8217;s, when bottled shampoos came out. Before then, we&#8217;ve used a bar of soap to wash our hair.  The FDA recalled a product this week that&#8217;s organic.  Not everything is safe anymore!<\/p>\n<p>I don&#8217;t use conditioner on my hair, and my profile shows that cheap OTC .99 shampoo on sale can&#8217;t be that bad.
