Logo Design Mistakes<\/strong><\/p>\n

Designing a logo isn\u2019t easy and should not be taken lightly.\u00a0 In designing a logo, there are several logo design mistakes that you should avoid making.\u00a0 Branding isn\u2019t just for big companies that have millions of dollars, many small companies can take advantage of a great logo but you\u2019ll want to avoid these mistakes to insure a great logo.<\/p>\n

First, make sure to have a professional designer create the logo for you.\u00a0 There are many companies that do logo design<\/a> that can help you design a logo.\u00a0 By avoiding the use of an amateur, you\u2019ll get a nice clean logo design that will last a long time.\u00a0 The adage that you get what you pay for is very true in logo design.\u00a0 You can see the difference that a professional designer can do for a logo.\u00a0 They have a better understanding of using shapes and color.\u00a0 You\u2019ll want to hire a designer because you\u2019ll end up with a professional looking logo that you\u2019ll be happy with.\u00a0 A great logo shouldn\u2019t have to be redone.\u00a0 It should last a lifetime.<\/p>\n

One thing that you should never do in designing a logo is to use clip art.\u00a0 Pretty much everybody can spot clip art.\u00a0 Clip art does not provide any uniqueness to a logo.\u00a0 Somebody could have the same picture in another logo.\u00a0 Also, designing a logo with clip prevents you from customizing your logo.\u00a0 The logo will appear to be look unprofessional and most people can tell when clip art is being used in a logo because most people have seen what clip art looks like.<\/p>\n

Typography is a big factor in designing a logo.\u00a0 Choosing the right font to go along with the other design elements is just as important is the design elements themselves.\u00a0 Avoid using the wrong word, a long sentence, a mission statement or anything unnecessary.\u00a0 You should also avoid certain words or phrases that could potentially be offensive.\u00a0 It is also important that you choose typography that you can read.\u00a0 It really doesn\u2019t make sense to design a logo who\u2019s company name is illegible.<\/p>\n

Lastly, you should make sure to design your logo for all media types.\u00a0 There are lots of different advertising medium and you\u2019ll want to design a logo that looks great in all forms of media.\u00a0 It would be a big mistake to design a logo for one media type and the logo look terrible on another type of media.\u00a0 You have to make sure that your logo copies well onto all media types.\u00a0 Keep in mind that you\u2019ll be advertising in a lot of different places so you\u2019ll want to make sure your logo looks great wherever you put your logo.<\/p>\n
