The power\/lock button on my Apple iPhone 4 is not broken and I cannot power the device on or off. I’ve tried synching it too but it won’t wake up. The button feel flimsy, as if the spring action below the button malfunctioned. I’m going to cross my fingers and carry it to the local AT&T store. I’m afraid that they’re going to try to sell me a new phone though. If you’ve encountered the same issue and know how to repair iPhone 4 buttons, please let me know.
