I have filmed many of the? locations used in the film Get Carter and I will be posting them! The rows of terraced houses in west Newcastle shown at the beginning of the film with the power station in the background have all gone now. However much has remained. I will post it when I get round to it!
Glenda was the woman who was driving the sports car, Margaret was the woman who came to the funeral + met Carter on the iron bridge.

I rented Get Carter. Horribly brutal movie but well worth the watch for vintage footage of Newcastle and area. I will watch one more time.. I apparently don’t have the plot right as I didn’t know that was Glenda, I thought that was Margaret. hmmm..like I said throughout the movie to the Mr., I’m watching the movie for the background. Loved? the ship scene, the Esso Hibernia. I can see why a young boy would remember the scrap yard, exciting place! The old brick block housing, must be gone in 2010.
