Design fault with the Nintendo 3DS?

My boyfriend figured it out while he put them ontop of each other. He wanted to clean his desk to game on his pc. By the way, I don’t think this is OK for your 3DS, so please don’t try it and blame me for breaking yours :O A friend of mine told me it probably has something to do with magnets inside the both DS. This is how it probably works : There are magnets underneath the DS and inside the top cover. They give each other a signal when the DS is closing, going into sleep-mode. The cover of the DSLite gives the 3DS a different signal to the magnet, because it’s underneath the 3DS. And so, the 3DS comes alive from the sleep-mode, to game-mode 🙂 It probably will works on the other DS handheld-consoles.

see your instructions booklet at the page 101. it says: “the 3ds system may go into sleep mode if its stacked out with other systyems in the nintendo ds? product line”

I believe the speakers with upper-screen has magnets. Careful with that or? you’ll ruin game cards.

lol I remember throwing mine in the glove compartment in my car only to hear? music XD. Still it’s really nothing to worry about, most likely caused by the magnets in the speakers of the DS.
if this starts with mine ill have to? have a poke around, but so far so good.
I have the same fault with mine, it’s developed over the last 3 months or so. Did you approach Uniden about? this issue?
I get the same problem with my 3500, seems to happen when? I’m walking around with the scanner.
Does this noise also? come up when you are away from any building? I experienced a lot of interference from those switching power supplies near a scanner. Also be sure not to have any cellphone with you. If it still occure than it must be the circuit inside the scanner whitch produces the signal on its own antenna perhaps??
I live in The Netherlands and also experienced the same problem on 2 different 3500xlt’s.
First i thought of pager intermodulation, but as mentioned it only happend on mobile use outside on differrent locations and far away from pager towers. When attached to a base antenna, i had no problem? in receive. The “machinegunning” noise only occurs on VHF (140-174 mHz)
When powering the 3500xlt on alkaline battery’s the noise seems to be less
My Uniden UBC92XLT scanner makes the same noise when searching the 31-40MHz? band

does it work with no antenna if so its your router or some thnig else, et it to do the fault then turn every thing off in your house, my router stops my? scanner on 156.00 so replaced
Does it stop on any frequency of? only frequencies in a certain range?
Mine is pretty similar. Same sort of problem. Does seem to be? behaving at this precise moment of time though, but for how long. Funnily enough, I’m not to far from you. Other end of the Bay.
