Nutnfancy SHOT Show: ARSENAL AKs!

Come on along for an exciting visit to the ARSENAL booth, ala Nutnfancy style, at the 2010 SHOT Show in Las Vegas. If you are like me, you will come away from this Arsenal visit wanting one of these AKs. Our host is Arsenal Sales Director Walker English. He speaks with authority of his AKs and demonstrates the impressive quality levels achieved in the Arsenal AK-variants. The previously-discussed AK vs AR-15 considerations still are applicable but the AK with its amazing reliability, toughness, simplicity, and COOL factor holds MUCH attraction (for me too). Shown in the video are the ARSENAL SGL21-72 (very cool plum colored stock set, NATO length), SGL21-63 (equally cool OD stocks, NATO), SLR 106-33 (5.56×45, in photo), SA RPK-7 (wow, which they could make it, expect it be $$$ if they do though), the gorgeous blond wood equipped SA and SAS M-7 Classics (milled receivers, flawless execution, expensive!), Bulgarian SLR106-34 (skeleton folding stock, Warsaw length), SLR 107-F (side folding 7.62x39mm AK-variant, seen in my AK vs AR-15 vids!), SLR106-31 (full stock, Warsaw length), SGL31 varieties (5.45×39.5mm, Warsaw Pact length stocks), and some others. What makes the Arsenals stand out? Quality, attention to detail, and observation of many of the AK/AKM design features that ensure longevity, accuracy, and higher levels of authenticity. Produced in conjunction with the Izhmash custom shop, Legion, Arsenal remanufactures these guns in Las Vegas, NV to full 922r compliancy …
it isn’t arsenals fault. There are many reasons for that price increase. Clinton laws are still active, The Russian government is becoming stricter on gun making and deportation and 9/11 attacks made it? harder for importation and all this is making it harder to get the supplies needed.
clinton may not be in office but alot of his laws are still? active
You are trying too hard to prove a? false point! WE are laughing at you.
wHY ISNT THE SGL21/30? ON THEIR SITE?
What is the song at the? beginning?
I’m in the market for an AK 47…. I went to a few stores locally to see what my options were and I am sad to say they were all garbage. Non matching numbers, poorly made, and none chrome lined barrels. They had the nerves to ask $700 for these POS AKs… so I made? up my mind and I am getting a SGL21-71. For $768 I can get a great quality rifle and it’s an Arsenal baby!
Should have asked them about the grip reinforcement plate and? a chrome lined muzzle brake!
Just show? me where these are being sold for $1,500. Unless it’s a private sale, you won’t be able to. The highest price I’ve seen is slightly over $1,000. Like I said before, the MSRP is less than $1,000. I’m paying attention to real prices, not your made up prices.
No one is talking about muscle cars here, the 1960’s, the price of gasoline or the current depression. If your wanting to talk about value in 1960 the average hourly wage was $1.85 and a new rifle cost $20.00 About a days worth of pay. You do the math…Do you make $1,500 per day? I don’t… In 1998 the SLR sold for $250.00 when everyone had high paying jobs. Todays SLR? prices of $1500 are miles beyond standard inflation. Don’t you pay attention?
I said go to gallery of guns. If you think prices aren’t going to change dramatically over 14 years, you must not pay attention to many things. Gas has gone up over 4 times what it was then. Therefore, everything has gone up because of the? cost of shipping, materials, and a little thing called inflation. Gun prices have steadily risen over the years, so it’s not surprising at all. You know people used to be able to buy muscle cars in the 60’s for $2,000.
Is that so? Then you tell me what shop is selling the Bulgarian SLR with milled receiver for less than $900.00. I doubt you can show me… Even? if you could, this still does not exempt the increase from $250.00 selling price in 1998, do you get my point?
The MSRP on the most expensive Arsenal AK (SLR) is $994. Obviously, shops are going to be selling them for less. Where are you getting $1,500 from? Go to gallery of guns and get one there. If I pick one up from there to one of my local shops, the SLR is $1,020 after all of taxes and fees for? the desert sand model, which is a few dollars more. The SGL models are $800 or so. So do some research before you claim they’re a lot more than they actually are.
Agreed ! And everyone should work together to preserve our right to bear arms. I don’t want some goofball in D.C whose never served a day in his or her life in our military or police having any? kind of effect on each American family’s God given right. I feel like going to an NRA gathering !
Why does the price? guns go way up that’s ridiculous to me there’s no reason they should
Veprs are worlds better? in accuracy and durability
I picked up an arsenal slr 107f yesterday for 800$ and that was a good deal. The arsenal ak’s have gone through the roof. On guns America the slr 107f are over 1000$ and many other? websites have them from 900-975$ then add ffl transfers and shipping u are between 1000-1200$. I’m glad I got mine now. I love the side folding stock and I got the desert tan look. Thanks nutnfancy
They don’t sell them for that much, the ORIGINAL Arsenal, Bulgarian? import with thumbhole in the ban is what I’m talking about. ‘Arsenal’ is a leased name in essence, and stamped receiver’s get, and have been getting the job done in the last, oh… 57 year’s or so, guess everyone around the world that got shot with the SECOND gen (AK was designed as a stamped receiver from the beginning, but technology wasn’t there YET) AK-47 got killed and those hit with the AKM’s just laughed….
Are you telling me that K-Var sells Milled Receiver AK’s for under $400.00? I don’t think the SGL has a milled receiver. I would never purchase an AK with a toyish? stamped receiver. Stamped receivers are pure Junk regardless of how they market the product.
REALLY?? Cause Legion is the custom shop of Izhmash (or the Bulgarian equivilant…..?) WOW, need to check that out, that’s a Russian AK custom shop name so, I hope those guys came over here and? set up shop, that’d be AWESOME!!
I’m not sure what might have happened with ‘international relations’, but K-Var still sell’s REGULAR Saiga’s for? $300-$350 ish, and since I bought my SGL 21 6 months ago it has gone up $55!! Also, my SGL 31 I got 3 months ago has gone up $60!!! I don’t know, I think they should be $500-$600 for an SGL 21, and $600-$700 for an SGL 31, glad I got mine while I did. But if their milled receiver line was $400 (SA M-7, and RPK’s!) less I’d have a 5.45 AND a 7.62 milled AK as well!
The Bulgarian SLR milled receiver AK’s were selling for $250.00 brand new in 1998. Why the heck is Arsenal now asking around? $1,500? Clintons not in office anymore… Arsenal needs to get back to realistic pricing again. Sure, its not 1998 anymore, but from $250.00 to $1,500 is an abuse. Arsenal had a quality product in 1998, whats wrong with offering the same SLR now, as they did in 1998? Stop with the Quality sales pitch song & dance. Nutnfancy, you need to put Arsenal in there place.
at :44 i thought it was going to? play 50cent – wanksta LOL
Did you check out the? Legion USA booth? Looks like they are importing and converting saigas that are pretty comparable to the arsenals..
This? is not to heavy lololol omg I no u were serious but still lol
Actually, looking at the? test target from the SGL 21 and it is actually a .9″ 3-shot group, the target uses smaller than .5″, not 1″ squares….. Impressive, Silver Bear is now my preferred steel case apart from good ole’ 7N6, the S. Bear/Brown Bear is VERY consistent, clean and the velocities are about 200-300 FPS faster with 5.45x39mm, and 150-ish with 7.62x39mm!!
